It’s a noble fragrance, nothing commercial or retro. It smells of freshly cooked red berry jam, with a subtle touch of white florals. Then, the iris and rose blend with musk, rounding off into a soothing amber. It’s not for everyday wear, but rather for finding peace and concentration. I’m slowly falling in love with it and I’m glad to have it.

I’ve worn it for a few days and decided to share my thoughts after trying it several times. I was looking for something different from what’s trendy, something floral and strong, and this is exactly that. It’s French, by the brand Mauboussin, and although it’s only available at a shop nearby, it’s worth it. At first, it’s intense, but over time it mellows and becomes intimate, without an aggressive trail. It smells different from anything I’ve owned; white notes and berries at the start, then rose, iris and musk at the end. It’s sensual, warm and gets better with age. The price is high, but it’s worth it to feel that musky scent.
