  I bought it in winter and waited for summer for those citrus notes. It’s a 50ml EDT and it’s absolutely enchanting me. l’Eau d’Issey was my perfume for a decade, and since then I haven’t even tried another. This limited edition is like the daughter of a dear friend I haven’t seen in years: different but with something very intimate. It’s faithful yet creative, with a valid reason to be. They share rose, lotus, amber, and musk. It opens with creamy citrus and florals, with a bitter touch of citrus peel. The heart is rose and lotus, weaving beautifully with the citrus. It smells very aquatic, even when dry, like droplets of water in the sun on the skin. The final vanilla isn’t sweet, but aromatic, the purest subtle bean. The result is perfect for me. Longevity: 4-6 hours with 4 sprays, moderate sillage. The bottle is gorgeous, pearlescent and luminous. The box is pretty but thin, with lovely die-cut details and a rhomboidal base.

  One of many reinterpretations of l’Eau d’Issey Miyake, but with a special aquatic touch. It had an ethereal aura, like the scent of a cloud or the sky. Many Miyake versions pile up, but this one felt more special; it could have stood as a new fragrance, a granddaughter of the original yet with its own identity: both submarine and aerial at once. Pure magic.
