The French house Façonnable has always made potent, affordable fragrances, though rarely original or modern. Over time, they’ve faded into obscurity, sold in neighbourhood chemists or flea markets, and dismissed by major Spanish chains. Legacy is their current line for younger people: a remake of a 70s/80s fougère, greener and stronger than Hulk but updated with sweet oriental touches that contrast against the bitter green base. It’s fairly masculine, aimed at those over 30, versatile except in summer when it can be overpowering. Longevity is a decent average of 5-6 hours, just as things stand in designer perfumery where they rip you off for 80 euros for pointless rubbish with no character and poor staying power. If you’re not a snob with selective tastes or a six-figure bank account, and you want something with the three Bs (good, beautiful, cheap), free from fleeting trends and influencer-approved aromas, give this legacy a chance.

I’ll just say it’s absolutely fabulous, a perfume monster. Very useful for evenings in cool or cold weather, with excellent longevity. To me, it reminds me of Guerlain’s L’Homme Idéal but without the leather note. Highly recommended.
