  • When I tried it, it reminded me a lot of Chanel No. 5 Eau Première (2015 version), but with a much sharper musk.

Beautiful. I have no words to describe it. Super sparkly aldehydes, with a creamy and addictive ylang-ylang. Although it shares notes with Chanel’s Nº5 and was born as a variation of it, I find no resemblance to it; it depends on one’s sense of smell 😊. The Chanel Nº22 feels slightly powdery when it dries down, and once settled, some very sweet and strong neroli emerges. Although I try to perceive the rose, I don’t sense it anywhere. For me, the Chanel Nº22 is as if in the year 2087 they tried to recreate a futuristic perfume based on old-school notes. Knock-knock! A warning to neroli lovers: even if your style isn’t vintage, this is a must-try. Be careful, as although it seems delicate, it has good longevity and can be quite overpowering if you over-apply. The Chanel Nº22 is a dream in a bottle.

  • What a beautiful composition. I love aldehydes and the Neroli in the opening more every day. When that floral sensation settles, it’s impressive how it always accompanies the vetiver and vanilla. Special mention to that elegant ylang-ylang, along with the jasmine, rose, and neroli ❤️

It is special to me. Recently I read about Gustav Klimt and his work ‘The Kiss’. What interested me was the image of the kissed woman and how it transcends time. I understood that a woman is beautiful, interesting, and from an aesthetic point of view, can evoke other forms of beauty. I haven’t tried the original Nº22, but I did try Chanel Les Exclusifs Nº22, and testing it gave me the abstract image of a woman’s beauty, not that of a specific woman. I like aldehydes because they ‘ground’ the wearer, turning them into a being of flesh and blood, not just a carrier of flowers. Ironically, they make one think that when you like someone, the best perfume is their own scent, and seeking that scent under perfumes like this is very stimulating. For me, Chanel Les Exclusifs Nº22 is a great complement for a woman to feel beautiful, because she is. That is why I highly recommend trying it.

  • Sometimes I feel that Chanel’s Nº22 wasn’t my choice, but theirs. It chose me, as if an ancient genetic code connected with women who loved mystery and discreet elegance. It doesn’t smell like a bygone era, but like my own, yet revealed from within, like an old photo negative. I went to the Serrano boutique for a Les Exclusifs presentation; although I was looking for another fragrance, this Nº22 truly captivated me. It wasn’t a whim, but something profound—a silent love that felt like it already knew me. The aldehydic opening has that 80s lacquer touch and a floral soap accord, like those from old dressing tables. It reminds me of a woman from another era who saved for sheer stockings and used carmine as provocation, living without fuss but with immense inner elegance. Born in 1922, a year after the Nº5, as if it came to complete its revolution. While the Nº5 was the modern, abstract rupture, the Nº22 is its spiritual sibling: whiter, more luminous, with an idealistic heart of jasmine, neroli, lily, and rose. Born in the 1920s with female liberation and Art Deco, it evokes an unfettered femininity. Wearing it is being a woman in black and white who already knows what’s coming: independence and desire. It is the perfume you don’t wear, you keep on your skin like an inherited secret. 🍀 If it were music, it would sound like this: https://youtu.be/iihmHyDpk2o?feature=shared
