  Sunny morning on a Venezuelan Caribbean island, after a restful sleep and my favourite black coffee (the Venezuelan is just right between sweet Colombian and bitter Brazilian), I turn on the PC and apply this fragrance with delicacy and trepidation: just one drop on the right forearm, as the left still smells of Bond No. 9 Cooper Square from yesterday, which makes me appreciate its longevity. The mandarin scent is my personal favourite; instantly I thought of Hermès. Like Eau d’Orange Verte, it smells of leaves and peel, not juice. A forum friend distrusts synthetic citrus, but my subconscious is in total nirvana for hours, like a drug, so I can’t be totally objective. The bottle confirms it is Eau de Parfum, with higher concentration than an Eau de Toilette (10~14% versus 6~9%), a key feature when starting in the Niche world. I was looking for something citrusy and mandarin-focused, as I tried other lemony, orange, and tangerine ones, and here I found what I wanted. It meets all my expectations; the marketing office should hire me. Ideal for warm but fresh climates, with ventilation and outdoors; in closed, hot places it could be counterproductive. Nice bottle. By the way, I love my Bond No. 9 Little Italy.

  On a sunny yet fresh morning in a Caribbean island, after a restful sleep and my indispensable black Venezuelan coffee (the perfect midpoint between sweet Colombian and bitter Brazilian), I turned on my PC and decided to use this fragrance with utmost delicacy, just one application on my right forearm (the left still smells of Bond No. 9 Cooper Square from yesterday, which confirms that longevity is key). The scent reminded me of Hermès, specifically how they capture the smell of mandarin leaves and peel, not just the juice. A forum friend distrusts synthetic citrus, but my subconscious is in total nirvana enjoying its lasting effect, so I can’t be very objective. The bottle says Eau de Parfum, so it has higher concentration than an Eau de Toilette, something typical of the niche brands I’m starting to explore. I was looking for something citrusy and mandarin-focused, as I already have other lemony and orange favourites, and this surpasses them; it really meets my expectations (the marketing office should hire me!). Ideal for warm but fresh climates, with ventilation and outdoors; in closed, hot places it could be counterproductive. Nice bottle. By the way, I love my Bond No. 9 Little Italy.

  Thank you for letting me try this Shiseido! Pure mandarin, real mandarin! Fresh, vibrant, juicy, and natural :D, boosted by clementine… fresh orange blossom or neroli buds… a subtle musk touch to add a bit of flirt 😉 Smells great… have I told you it smells like mandarin yet? 😀

  I wanted to say something good about this perfume; I bought a decant with high expectations but… for me, it smells like room air freshener, not a £300 fragrance.
