  • How wonderful to see the brand returning to its old ways with the Midnight editions; all those old bottles are worthy of collection. For many years it was my favourite fragrance; it suits my skin perfectly. Unfortunately, after 2017 many perfumes were lost when they switched to vegan versions (something I applaud), but I feel some of that old magic was lost. Fortunately, they changed their minds and relaunched the original bottle (though Mon Premier wasn’t ugly), yet nothing compares to this beauty. The reformulation wasn’t bad, but it gave too much prominence to the cherry and reduced the depth of that wonderful accord between licorice, grass, and violet. To be honest, it reminded me of the original but seemed more like a flanker of Petite Robe Noir. I haven’t yet tried the previous version of this Le Parfum; it’s the third time Annick Menardo has returned to the house to try and replicate that 1997 beauty, one of her most iconic creations. I hope to try the new Le Parfum one day to compare and see if they found a formula to recreate the classic faithfully; I’ll be happier with this edition and that they return to making a new bottle each year, adorning one of my all-time favourite fragrances.

  • 🤯 A total gem. The opening is a potent ivy mixed with tonka bean, iris, and licorice; it smells of a mysterious, nocturnal garden full of vines. Over time, the classic cherry touch typical of Lolita Lempicka emerges, but the green notes remain. What I notice most is a spicy, sweet, green, musky, and aromatic scent (I wouldn’t list vanilla at the start as it can be confusing; I’d place it later). Finally, iris and violets make their appearance. It lasts a long time, is intense, and has a wonderful trail.

  • 🤯🤯 A true gem 🖤🌿🌌🌌🌌 The opening smells strongly of ivy mixed with tonka bean, iris, and licorice. It’s like a mysterious, nocturnal garden full of vines on a dark night 🌒 As time passes, the classic cherry touch typical of Lolita Lempicka emerges, without losing the green opening notes 🌿 What I feel most is a soft, spicy, sweet, green, musky, and aromatic scent (I wouldn’t list vanilla as a top note as it can be confusing; I’d place it seventh). Towards the end, iris and violets appear. It lasts quite a while, is intense, doesn’t fade quickly, and has a lovely trail.

  • A magical, nocturnal, and nostalgic Lolita Lempicka. Smells of damp earth with a touch of sweetness, lacking that cherry note I dislike in newer versions. This limited edition is hard to come by and smells very similar to Fleur Défendue (less sweet), which was my favourite. Today it is my new forbidden apple thanks to its scent and longevity. I bought it blind and it was a total success; as a brand fan, the notes suggested it would be greener than others. Needless to say, the bottle is a beauty I want to keep forever.
