I believe the notes described here are not the same as on the official page: Accord réglisse, Accord cerise, Accord violette, Ciste, Labdanum. This is softer and more complex. It’s not the version I treasure.

  • Finally, Lolita Lempicka is back with me, even if it’s its reformulation. I can say it is different, it’s true that this version is sweeter and less intense. That anise no longer surprises in the opening like the classic. It’s linear; its scent doesn’t change like the classic. It’s a diluted and sweeter version, but I still like it more than the classic. It’s sweeter and gourmand. The bottle is horrible; it looks like a counterfeit perfume or the Chinese version of the beautiful classic apple, but well, its new aroma has conquered me.

  • I flatly refuse to believe that this mon premier parfum shares 90% of the notes with the 1997 original; there is an abyssal difference between the two, and let’s not even talk about the bottle. Lolita Lempicka and Le Premier Parfum were my personal fragrance for a long time, so I know that this new mon premier parfum is completely different from the unique and delicious aroma I know. To start with, I only distinguish cherry, cherry, and more cherry with a tiny hint of ivy, where is the star anise? This new version feels sweet, very sweet, but not gourmand; rather, a sweet that compares to a cough syrup, synthetic and stinging. That said, it is long-lasting. The only moment I don’t dislike is its dry down, which I must admit isn’t as terrifying as the opening. What a pity, because thinking it was a modern version of the icon, I bought a 100 ml bottle that is costing me to use. Perhaps I’ll give it a couple more chances as despite my dislike I’ve received good comments, but personally it was a sadness to discover I am about to stop smelling my favourite aroma since the previous versions are discontinued.

I love this fragrance. I’d been wanting something from Lolita Lempicka for ages and finally got it. It smells delicious and has long-lasting longevity; on my skin it lasts about six hours and it’s at a very good price. Sweet but not cloying… The protagonist is the cherry along with the anise. It’s sensual and youthful; perfect for winter, whether day or night.

I couldn’t agree more with @brenbren13. I’ve been wearing it for at least four autumns and winters, faithful to the classic Lolita, and I was gifted this new version for my birthday. At first, I thought it was me sensing it differently… or that my perfume was faulty, but now I see otherwise. It doesn’t resemble the classic Lolita; it maintains a line that makes them similar, but this reformulation, besides having a horrible bottle that looks Chinese compared to the classic one, has little to do with the scent. This version smells synthetic to the point of rage 😢. Here we have brash cherries that seem medicinal, and that note lingers for a long time until it dries down. I don’t feel the violets as protagonists, nor the praline, nor the vanilla… the anise and licorice notes are softer and I think that gives it more followers. Personally, I believe the anise and licorice combined with that artificial cherry note give a true cough syrup. What have they done to my Lolita? 😢 Where are your sweet, talcum-dusted violets? Where did your magic go?

I agree with @irene.manrique. On my skin, it smells of cherry sweets with anise. The violet is there but not intense. It reminds me of the glass jars of sweets in old confectioneries. It doesn’t seem sexy to me; rather, it inspires tenderness, like becoming a child again and hugging my grandmother.

  • Artemisa33

Honestly, I can almost smell the original. I don’t share the view that it has changed so much. Perhaps it’s a bit softer and the sweet cherry comes through more, but generally, it feels identical to me. I ordered it blind and was delighted to discover it hasn’t changed as much as the reviews suggested.

  • Well, I haven’t tried the original, though the bottle is gorgeous and I like this version. It took me a while to get used to it, as I’m new to wearing perfumes, but it completely won me over. I love it! Now that I know more fragrances, I see how interesting it is to go against the trend. I notice it has few followers. To me, it smells of licorice, which is my favourite. I’m the one who used to eat the black gummies nobody wanted. It’s sweet without being cloying, spiced without being heavy, and floral without being suffocating. I like it immensely.

  • locadelosperfumes

I love it. Cherry dominates with a hint of anise. It’s very similar to Le petit robe noir légère by Guerlain.

  • Smells fantastic. At first, there’s a licorice note, but eventually, the scent of perfumed heart-shaped sweets takes over. It’s fresh, youthful, and very pleasant. I wore it in summer and it’s super soft on the skin.

  • Yadorán d’Vinea, very good info! I knew Lolita Lempicka perfumes were off the market, but I didn’t know it was because they were making them vegan and environmentally friendly. I think it’s a wonderful change! I’ve switched to the cruelty-free side and there are few options, so when I can, this Lolita Lempicka will be in my top 3.

  • I like it, but it doesn’t enchant. It’s a sweet scent without being cloying, which is a success, and its performance in longevity and sillage is also quite good.

  • Redlipstickgirl

A sweet licorice scent, very pleasant. It sticks to clothes, lasts 5 hours on my skin, and then fades to skin-level. I think it would work better in cold weather.

  • Thanks for the update, Yadorán D’Vinea. It’s good to know that Lolita Lempicka is cruelty-free. I was reluctant to try the reformulation; I don’t like the bottle as much as the old one. Today I gave it a chance, and although I miss the mystery of the 1997 version, this isn’t bad. It fits the current ‘lighter’ times. It has reminiscences of the previous one; it’s sweeter but not cloying. I didn’t notice any ivy or violet, and the anise is very diluted. Projection and longevity depend on skin type and weather; on me, it lasted 6 hours with two applications. I do recommend it; I like it and might buy it. I’ll continue to miss older versions like the L. I don’t understand why they reformulate; they should release another perfume with a different name and leave the originals alone. It seems like fast fashion and consumerism is destroying us. PS: In France, they do sell the reformulated version with the iconic pumpkin, without the ivy.

  • The licorice is very noticeable, which is why I didn’t like it. Even reformulated, it gives off a goblin-like vibe, but I feel it’s a youthful scent with a melancholic note.

  • I tried a decant and the first thing was a sweet spicy note from the sharp cherry. Sweet but not overwhelming thanks to the anise and licorice, and as it dries down, the flowers emerge. It’s a lovely perfume; I liked it because it smells different from my others.

  • Pulcinella

It belongs to the same family as the 2012 version (I never knew the 1997 one); they are distant cousins. They are similar, but one is a woodland nymph and the other merely tries to be. It smells like LL, but it lacks the magic, sparkle, and character of the 2012 version. I understand the vegan regulations, but it’s a shame. Nothing lasts forever. And the new bottle… what a horror. It’s normal that with the fifth reformulation they’ve recovered the old bottle, although that version lost the vanilla, praline, and ivy. I’ll stick with the 2012 versions.

  • MADMOISELLE PERFUME

Back in 2004, a friend gifted me this perfume; she couldn’t stand it. The bottle, a violet apple with a gold cap, was a work of art. Neither could I handle it: it gave me headaches because it was too intense. I gave it to my mother and she loved it. Recently I read they had reformulated it and decided to try it. Now that I’m an adult and my skin has changed, I find it exquisite. The reformulation is better: softer and more comfortable, without being overwhelming. The only flaw is the longevity; the original lasted for days, whereas on my skin this fades to skin-level after 6 hours. I’m glad to have it; it’s unique and inimitable.

  • Wow! I bought it blindly based on the reviews, and although I was doubtful about the reformulation, what a wonderful surprise. If this is how the new one smells, I can’t imagine what the original was like. An absolute gem! It lasts 10 hours on my skin and over 12 on my clothes.

  • I love this perfume; the longevity is very good (after 12 hours the scent remains intimately on the skin), it has good projection, and it is a delicious aroma. It is quite youthful; even my little daughters like this scent. If you like LPRN, Mon Premier will be to your liking, as both are very familiar scents.

  • Dama Incognita

A rich gourmand aroma, softer than the original, in which one strongly feels a cherry sweetened by vanilla and praline with an anise touch that I like very much. Here, the licorice is not felt so strongly (which is appreciated), but at the same time, the powdery violet is not felt much either, which I like more in the Le Parfum version. I feel that this version is aimed at a younger audience.

  • My wife has many perfumes, but without a doubt, for me as a man, there is no scent like Lolita Lempicka; this scent drives me mad, what a rich thing, whether it is the violet or whatever, but for me it is simply a pure pleasure to smell this perfume; there are things that do not need explaining, just enjoy them.

  • If I compare it with the original from 1997 that I had the luck to know, it seems to me that this reformulation maintains enough of the charm of its previous version to still be recommended. This time it is considerably loaded with cherry and also seems a bit more synthetic. Despite that, I repeat, it seems to me a good option that retains its personality. I like it!

  • Violets, licorice, and anise, pure Lolita Lempicka DNA. It is a nineties fragrance, alternative, Tim Burton movie style, striped t-shirt, and red Converse. It is sweet, but not ‘girly’. It is not overwhelming, but it has good longevity and a sillage that does not overwhelm those around you. I like it very much; it is very different from the typical stuff found in commercial perfumeries, and at a very good price.

  • Oh, Lolita Lempicka… What an enchanting perfume… Its name, its bottle, and its scent… It is an enigmatic and mysterious aroma that makes it so special; I mainly detect an intense note of very sweet and spiced star anise, which makes it extremely delicious. I usually wear it mainly in cold climates for its sweet and warm sillage. It is for a mysterious, rebellious yet sweet person at once, indie, magical in essence and soul.

  • Jess Jiménez

Sweet and soft; for me, the cherry (which gives it a zesty touch) and the licorice (that boozy note) are the stars of this perfume. It is feminine, charming, with very good longevity and sillage. As I read somewhere, it has a nineties vibe, which is very nostalgic.

  • I have to take off my hat to LL because this is a true work of art. It shares notes with the 1997 versions, Fleur Defendue and Engel Dark Rammstein, which also drive me mad. It makes me feel special, and I want to congratulate the brand for removing the dangerous BHT ingredient in this version; I adore that it is more ecological than ever, and the bottle design (which fits the Tamara de Lempicka illustration better) is spectacular, whether for the perfume or the Berger catalytic lamp, which I also recommend as it’s a real gem. I sound like a small child talking about this perfume because it transports me back to my childhood and my carefree well-being. As I move, I start to feel the cherry, licorice, anise, ivy, and musk, perceiving a common tone with Mon Eau, but I still don’t know what it is. While the old formats of the house create nostalgia, in my personal case, I prefer to leave that behind and embrace the new concept. Either way, LL enchants me, maintains that halo of mystery, and the apple remains delicious; the 30ml size is particularly comfortable. 10/10.

  • A super-digestible cherry and anise liqueur, sweet and wonderful. While it lacks that almost filigree herbal detail of the original (the ivy was key), it remains a rich and original interpretation with magnet-like attraction. I can’t stop rubbing my nose on my wrist every time I wear it because it has an interesting and beautiful evolution. It sparkles with licorice and grass, with that magical cherry and a unique, boozy anise from Lolita taking centre stage. It evokes fantasy and joy; it’s a little dreamy journey to play and feel welcomed, thanks to a natural, non-invasive sweetness. Lolita is one of the most personal perfumes still alive today, and I hope it lasts for many more years. Its formula has always offered a unique contribution to a commercial aromatic map that today tends towards homogeneity.

  • I was a complete ignoramus; I’d never smelled it until a week ago when someone gifted me a sample… My first impression: horror, for anyone except me. I thought it would be a lovely gift for a younger, less dark woman than myself. But today I put it on again and… I’m in love. In love with the cherry, which I’m not a huge fan of, the anise, that little green touch, the powdery accord I perceive after five minutes… I’m adding it to my list of perfumes I want to own.

  • I bought it completely blind as there were no testers and I was intrigued by its scent. Now that I’ve worn it on my arm for hours, I don’t know what to say. It’s the strangest perfume I’ve ever tried. I’m not saying this in a derogatory way; it’s very interesting and mysterious. I can’t describe the main aroma because it evolves quickly and feels like having several perfumes in one. I would use it in cold climates, even at night. I agree with reviews describing it as a ‘fairy forest’, perceiving a green floral with a tiny acidic cherry touch. Very nice scent 👌. On the other hand, it’s a pity the trail is so scarce; you only feel it by pressing your nose against the skin. Edit: after several days I’m obsessed, I can’t stop applying it. On my coat stand out the cherry and anise, being a sweet but spiced very soft scent, well balanced. It could be a distant cousin of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Any perfume lover should know this jewel.

  • I curse the day they decided to overshadow those beautiful powdery and spiced notes with any sweet thing they put in it. Nevertheless, it remains a wonderful perfume and very dear to me, unlike the commercial ones out there, but compared to the original it leaves much to be desired. While the original is a magical swamp nymph, this one is a flower nymph.

  • I bought it blind because I wanted my Lolita Lempicka collection. To be honest, I loved it; it’s very different from what I usually wear but I find it intriguing and rich. That said, I didn’t smell the cherry. I smell anise in the opening (girls in Argentina, you can barely smell a similarity to OFF when it first comes out, but it fades quickly), then a woody and spiced aroma, and finally a sweet dry-down. At first I didn’t feel it as feminine as they said here, but it doesn’t bother me. In my mother’s words: ‘it’s for a professional, successful woman with character’. For me, it’s a balance between delicate and strong; you want to smell your wrist all the time. Now that autumn is coming, I want to see how it smells in cold climates. PS: I do feel it’s a forest fairy scent, but not a green one, rather little fairies decorating their wooden cottages with vanilla and anise 💖

  • I’m sorry, but I was a teenager in the 2000s and I’m still in love with the magic of Lolita Lempicka, so I’m very demanding of their versions. I tried Mon Premier Parfum in stores and samples, and to be honest, it was terrible. It’s unbearably sweet, with a synthetic cherry that reminds me of low-quality artificial sweetener. They tried to version the original in this new bottle, deconstructed and facetted to suit consumers accustomed to sweet and vanilla scents, but they disfigured the original DNA. You don’t feel the dampness of the ivy or the earthiness of the roots, just a shrill, simple sweetness. Short longevity, fortunately. Thank goodness we have Lolita Lempicka Le Parfum 2023.

  • Both Petit Robe Noir and this one, along with all the Lolita Lempickas, are my absolute favourite perfumes. None have been able to dethrone them. The cherry, anise, and ivy make it unique, with the violet adding that beautiful powdery touch and the vanilla base closing the circle of something sweet and spiced (both from the anise and the ivy which gives spicy nuances).

  • I bought it blind because I love Lolita Lempicka bottles. To be honest? I love it; it has an exquisite scent, giving me porcelain doll vibes. The anise and licorice are very noticeable, but the cherry leaves a scent that is SO rich; it has become one of my favourites. Wish I could have tried the original 🙁

  • I expected gothic fairies in a dark forest and it just smells like cosmetics, especially those from the 90s, meaning violet with a bit of cherry caramel. I can’t smell the licorice defined by which many people hate it and which I was seeking. It smells nice, lasts a bit, projects normally, but it wasn’t what I expected :((. A little ordinary; I attribute this to the reformulations; probably they smelled better and had more character before. I associated it with Red Door by Elizabeth Arden, I suppose due to the violet and anise notes; they might be related.

  • Dear Mon Premier: thank you for bringing back that magical memory of the original Lolita. Now, Mon Premier is similar to Lolita, but without that sensual, glamorous touch the original left; this cherry is acidic from start to finish. It remains long-lasting but no longer leaves a trail in its wake. I love it for the similarity, although all of us who were hoping for something better than Lolita are left speechless. No desire to speak to anyone for the rest of the day, ja!

  • CarliCherry

If you could describe the scent of a forest fairy, it would be Mon Premier. For me, the most enduring note is anise; it’s a super green, herbaceous perfume. It’s not for everyone; I feel it’s for the misunderstood, pure AURA. People don’t realise it’s a reformulation; I wish I could smell the original formula. Hours pass and it turns sweet, so rich! The vetiver has great body and really comes through. I have the 30ml and hope to use it up so I can buy the 100ml. Scent: 10000/10, Projection: 9/10, Longevity on skin: 7.5/10 (my pH is unusual, after two hours it softens). Would I recommend? Absolutely. ✨
