I’ve already tried it; they had it at Primor next to the Mon edition… I wasn’t going to do it because according to the notes they removed the violet and added bergamot, but it’s not bad. It seems more powdery. I like the new ‘original’, which is more mature than the previous one that was excessively rubbery. I wear one on each arm, the Mon and the Original. I’m sticking with the original for this hot weather. It opens sharp, slightly fresh, and then becomes more similar to the original edition.
I bought it and I don’t know if I should be satisfied; for me it’s been another disappointment. It smells like a clone that will never match the 1997 version. This original is good for spring and summer as it’s softer and fresher, whereas the 1990s version was better for the cold. The first Lolita was penetrating, powdery, sweet and precious; the violet was my favourite note and now they’ve removed it along with many others that made Lolita special. I feel all the flankers have been a joke. I don’t understand why they changed something so unique. That fragrance was love or hate, and for those who loved it, it seems we’ll never get it back. Goodbye Lolita…
I picked it up on blind sale promotion since I know the 1997 version and tried a sample of the latest Mon premier. I loved it, although it’s much softer than the 1997 one (I’m not sure if my girlfriend thought it smelled like pure chocolate, perhaps I was wrong). This new version is softer, less overpowering, and I think it suits me better. It feels like the Mon premier to me, though this one is stronger on my skin. I would buy it again without hesitation; it’s on my list of favourites.
My aunt always wore the 1997 edition and she smelled divine. On my skin it’s different, but I like it; however, it’s not enough to justify buying the full bottle, so I stuck with a decant.
You have to give the reformulation a chance; although they cut costs, they are cruelty-free and free of chemicals that harm or alter our endocrine system. I was much more surprised than I expected; on my skin it lasts over 12 hours and the trail feels present without being invasive. I loved it! To my taste it’s timeless: on hot days I’d wear it more in the evenings and in cold climates during the day.
I bought it with a super discount and I can’t stop appreciating it every time I wear it. I love it; I don’t really know the other versions or the original, but this perfume has me hooked. It’s soft but maintains its trail very well.

My first real perfume: its purple apple bottle with gold was beautiful (I found it yesterday, luckily they didn’t throw it away). I bought the promotion in a nice box with the little 10ml bottle. The scent is a bit different from what I remember, softer, but the bottle… Mmm… what is that? 🥺, I compared it with the previous one and there’s no comparison. I confess both give me a headache, but it’s beautiful, it is.
baky78, I think the same. The new Lolita perfumes are cruelty-free (and vegan if I’m not mistaken) and more planet-friendly due to the raw materials and recycled packaging. For me it’s a wonderful change and I think other houses should follow that path. Most test on animals. I’ll buy one of the new versions when I can.
I had the Lolita 18-20 years ago; I bought three bottles in 2001. Now that I’ve decided to restock knowing it’s reformulated, I didn’t know what to expect. The opening is super musky, anise and licorice to the max, sweet and honeyed, but it doesn’t fall into the caramel gourmand trap. When I smell it I remember the violet note was impressive; that’s a pity. I don’t remember the longevity and sillage well well; I was so young I went from tango to tango without realising whether it lasted or not. I’ve tried it little, but the performance is acceptable. It lasts well and the sillage is moderate; they say it was a beast, I don’t remember 😞. If it reminds me of Lolita, yes, but missing the violet too. It’s a pity it has less sillage, but as the brand is going more eco-friendly, it seems fair that we don’t have that potency and a new bottle to be greener. It was worth it, don’t let yourselves be intimidated by the lack of longevity and sillage.
Everything about Lolita Lempicka is perfect: from the bottle to the ethereal and mysterious aura it conveys without losing its seductive and feminine charm. It seduces through the proposal of the non-obvious, not qualifying as… (attention)… ‘HEAD-TURNER’, hahaha, a term that resonates a lot on YouTube when talking about perfumes like those from the La Vie Est Belle clan. This fragrance’s proposal is definitely subtle, for refined palates, and indifferent to the cloying fandom. It’s timeless, always relevant, and women of any age can wear it splendidly, because at every moment in life it conveys different sensations.

I had the classic and by mistake bought this reformulation. I saw reviews and thought that like the 1997 classic I would love it, but the first spray wasn’t as expected; I found it sweeter and slightly ‘bitter’. I thought I definitely had to give it away, but after a few minutes I discovered its vanilla scent harmoniously blended with licorice and I fell in love. Every time I wear it, someone tells me I smell good. It’s a unique scent, sweet (without being annoying), powdery, warm and rich. I recommend it for autumn and winter, perhaps also spring evenings. I love Lolita! Sillage 7/10, Longevity 8/10, Scent 9/10.
I had the classic and by mistake picked up this reformulation. I saw reviews and thought I’d love it as I did in 1997, but at first I sensed something sweet and bitter, thinking about giving it away. But after a few minutes, I discovered its vanilla mixed with licorice and I fell in love. Every time I wear it, someone says I smell good; it’s unique, sweet without being overpowering, powdery, warm and utterly delicious. I recommend it for autumn and winter, perhaps spring evenings. I love Lolita! Sillage 7/10, Longevity 8/10, Scent 9/10.
It’s rich, but like everything else, common. It’s a perfume that smells the same as others you can get for half the price and reapply.
I never had the first version of Lolita Lempicka, but I have the reformulated one and I must say it’s extremely delicious. It’s licorice and vanilla wrapped in an exquisite praline, with a honeyed touch. I’m certainly in love from the first spray. Its scent reminds me a lot of the first version of Angel by Thierry Mugler. I find it perfect for winter. Its longevity is moderate; on my skin it lasts 5 to 7 hours, with the scent fading slightly.

I bought Lolitaland months ago for the storybook bottle, but blindly and had to give it away; the vanilla scent was so strong it gave me a headache. This time, to avoid giving it away, I grabbed a decant of that classic and I’m glad I did: I absolutely hated it! It smells medicinal at first, very potent and long-lasting, but it’s a mix of violets and remedies on the skin, sweet and strange. I definitely wouldn’t buy the original. 👎
Simply detestable. I only perceive vanilla and iris, so cloying that I cannot stand them. I imagine a medicinal syrup for children, besides being persistent and not evolving. It was a blind purchase and a mistake I would not repeat.
Well, nothing. It’s a disaster. It just smells of vanilla and iris, so cloying that I can’t bear it. I imagine a childish medicinal syrup, plus it’s persistent and doesn’t evolve at all. It was a blind purchase and a mistake I won’t repeat for a second time.
I was let down by this new formulation. I bought it to gift to my mother, who has been using the original Lolita Lempicka for years. This version has dropped much in quality: it is not potent and does not last long. If you are thinking of buying it, do not do it; it is not worth it. It is a shame that only the name remains, as there is nothing like the previous formula.
I was let down by this new formulation. I bought it to gift to my mother, who is married to a Lolita Lempicka and had it for years, so seeing it running low was a mistake. This new formulation has dropped the quality significantly; they aren’t potent and they don’t last as long as the previous one. If you’re thinking of buying it, don’t, it’s not worth it. It’s a shame that from this beautiful perfume only the name remains, because it has nothing to do with the previous formula.
It is a pity to see how Lolita has lowered its quality. I understand there are difficult raw materials, but making a perfume that only resembles the original in the packaging (the apple) is shameful. The original lasted 8 to 12 hours; this new one does not even reach an hour and a half, perhaps three at best. Given how expensive it is, it is not worth it. Better to let the old Lolita Lempicka rest in peace and release a new one.
It smells wonderful on my skin and I have received many compliments, but it varies so much from skin to skin that you can love it or hate it, and even feel dizzy. A colleague doused herself and became overwhelming. My mother gets a headache from any vanilla, so do not pour half a bottle. Same with patchouli. It is perfect for the night or parties, but not for the day.
It is very unique. I bought it by mistake while looking for cherry and pear, but given how sweet it is, I think it is better without those notes. It is spiced; upon application, I thought it would be cloying and was frightened, but in 10 minutes it turned into spiced, sweet with a smell of wet earth. That is when I understood why they say it smells like a fairy. The sweetness passes quickly, but I suggest not using it for the first time in an enclosed space. It is not for everyone, but I loved it. Use it with care because it is strong at the beginning. Do not buy it blindly.
Oh, Lolita. Upon trying it, I felt a very intense anise that then softened to spiced vanilla, almost like when you are cooking and add spices, but with vanilla. I don’t find it sweet; it smells more spiced. If you like the scent of a ‘young lady’, then yes. 🥲👍🏻
Oh, when I tried it on my skin, the anise came out loud and clear, but as it dried down it softened into a spiced vanilla, like adding seasoning to food but with vanilla. It doesn’t taste sweet to me, more spiced, at least on my skin. Would I recommend it? If you like the scent of a young lady, then yes. 🥲👍🏻
It opens with sharp anise and licorice, then shifts to something damp, like an old house that has been wet. Unfortunately, it smells of mould, although it contains patchouli, praline, and vanilla. Perhaps it is fresh mould, but for me, it is synthetic from start to finish. Compared to the first version, which was sweet, elegant, and coquettish, this is a disappointment. Do not buy it blindly; perhaps my bottle is damaged, or that is its true aroma.
It is the opposite of my taste; I prefer fresh citrus, but this is dense, with great projection and lasts 24 hours. Upon application, it smells of sweet anise and iris, with a hint of talc. Over time, it turns woody and earthy. It is ideal for winter. An intense fragrance that makes a statement.
It is not a common perfume. At first, it stings, but then it becomes earthy, spiced, and sweet. It makes me feel unique, like in an enchanted forest. It is timeless, suitable for summer or winter depending on what you wear. It resembles Aura by Mugler but is sweeter and less musty. Ideal for women with a strong character. I loved it; my husband gave it to me at the end of the year 2024/2025.
It is an elegant fragrance that catches the eye and halts footsteps. It isn’t for every age, but since I was 15, it has been my signature scent and I wouldn’t change it. I recommend it if you’re looking for something potent, but be warned: it’s for cold weather. In summer, with the heat and sweat, it turns into something I dislike. I live in a port where the heat is constant, so it’s better used in autumn or spring.
