About Malik
Malik: Sea-Cooled Citrus Settled on Woodland Base
Malik by Ard Al Zaafaran is a woody aquatic scent for men. It starts with sparkling coastal brightness before resting on deeper, drier tones.
There is no sugary weight here; the profile stays fresh and aromatic. The move from marine lift towards moss and earth gives it direction.
Up top, grapefruit and tangerine meet marine notes. The impression is saline and airy, recalling a breeze off the water rather than a sharp citrus blast.
At the centre, jasmine is paired with bay leaf. The white floral lends a smooth cleanliness, while the bay contributes green, freshly spiced character.
The drydown relies on grey amber, moss, patchouli and guaiac wood. The texture becomes drier and more wooded, with muted amber warmth beneath.
Taken together, Malik balances citrus, sea air, aromatics and mossy woods. It reads as an easy daytime wear, particularly welcome in warmer conditions when a fresh opening with woody support is wanted.
It will suit those who favour fresh yet structured masculine perfumes. Lovers of sea citrus, restrained patchouli and moss-led woods should find it appealing.
Malik is a direct woody aquatic: sea citrus to begin with, an aromatic floral core, then an earthy amber-wood finish. Neatly resolved throughout.
