  I was gifted this cologne right as the first rains arrived in Costa Rica, with those hot mornings and humid evenings. It’s an aromatic fragrance where the amberwood really shines through; it’s amber, aromatic and warm with spicy notes, very different from what the website claims as it lacks those fresh accords. It’s good and affordable, with a distinctive scent that feels neither synthetic nor commercial. Ideal for discreetly reapplying before a date or after work to smell fresh and clean. To reiterate: it’s sweet and very amber-heavy. For the price, it doesn’t last long, perhaps just two hours before it clings to the skin. You need several sprays (at least six) to get any trail. It’s perfect for a fresh, sunny morning with loafers, jeans and a check shirt, much like your son’s kindergarten presentation on a Saturday at nine. It’s also worth it for dinner or an evening meal, but be careful as that amber can be overpowering in very hot climates or enclosed spaces. I loved it and it’s worth the price; it could pass for something more expensive, sometimes reminding me of old-school Mont Blanc trends.
