  Matcha Mochi is from Zara’s kids’ department, but as soon as I saw ‘Matcha’, I knew I needed it—well, my daughter said ‘we need it’. As with everything from Zara, it holds up well and shows quality. It’s sweet and green, where the matcha takes the lead, followed by white chocolate, with the pear barely noticeable. I recommend it for hot days.

  I went in seeking that contrast between the creaminess of the white chocolate and the bitter green of the matcha, but the tea is hardly noticeable. The scent is very linear and fades quickly, leaving behind a slightly cloying white chocolate. The pear adds an innocent, almost childish touch. Since I already own it, I’ll use it to sweeten other fragrances with layering.
