  • What a huge disappointment. Based on the notes, I thought I’d love it, and a fragrance commentator recommended it too—we usually agree on tastes. I bought it blindly and can only say it smells like rotten eggs. Horrible.

  • I still can’t write an in-depth review as I haven’t tried it yet, but as a professional ornithologist (with egg samples, some in bad condition, behind my back) and a perfume lover, what I can assure you is that this perfume does not smell like rotten eggs. It’s not a typical gourmand, but a sweetened vetiver that I found very pleasant, though nothing extraordinary. I bought it on Black Friday and I think it’s worth it even when discounted. EDIT: Now that I’m using it, I can give more refined impressions. It’s not too complex or difficult to define a fragrance. In this Citrine Flame, there’s a pulse between vetiver and white chocolate, between the freshness of the one and the warmth of the other, between the herbal and the sweetness. It’s an unconventional gourmand because it feels light and fresh. Personally, I don’t smell the coffee nor do I miss it. I do perceive a citrus touch or even an unlisted ginger that refreshes the vetiver even more at the beginning. It turns out to be practically linear afterwards and has a medium longevity on my skin, with an elegant projection, perceptible but not overwhelming. The bottle is beautiful and its other collection siblings, apart from Ruby Irreverent (the cherry note is complicated for me), have delighted me and will stay in my collection. Haha, apologies, but I’ve never read a comment as surreal as the first one 🥇 Citrine is an elegant and sophisticated delight. You wear it and you’re transported to a luxury gourmand, opulence, and a coffee in some distinguished spot in Vienna or Paris, like a late-night afternoon in a café after a play or the opera (I would have loved to have it when I went). That scent of a blend of spices, chocolate, and dark, luxurious artisanal perfumes ❤️ It’s a definite yes 🫶

  • It doesn’t smell of rotten eggs, but for me it’s a disaster. I only detect vetiver and a touch of sweetness; there’s not a trace of coffee or chocolate. The worst part is the brutal longevity; I’ve washed several times and it still lingers 😔

A powerful, sweet, and heavily spiced fragrance. Reminds me of burnt sugar with cinnamon, nutmeg, and other herbs. At first, it smells like bitter dark chocolate and perhaps a hint of green coffee. It’s very spicy, vanilla-infused, and has a powdery base rather than a creamy one, quite heavy. It doesn’t evolve much, though if you look closely, fresh and aromatic notes appear in small waves, but the dark sweetness still dominates. It gave me a headache and clung all day, impossible to remove even by rubbing.
