I picked this up on sale for that neroli and bamboo note promised on the paper, but on my skin it turned into a linear, boring scent lasting only a few hours. I regretted it immediately and now it’s gathering dust in my wardrobe. Be careful not to trust the perfumer’s sample alone; it’s far too expensive for what it delivers.
I bought it on sale for that green neroli and bamboo note that seemed different in the box, but on my skin everything changed. Perhaps it’s my chemistry, but it settled into a linear scent lasting mere hours. I ended up regretting it and now it’s unused. The lesson is clear: test on your skin, don’t trust the paper. It’s far too expensive for what it offers.
I hunted it down because it sounded exquisite, yet it smells of very few spices and is absolutely bonkers for the price. What makes it one of the top ten scents to love? It claims to be inspired by French revolutionary dandies who wanted to seduce ladies. Is it magic or just marketing?
