Moonlit Amber: Sentire's Moonlit Take on the Woody Oriental
From perfumer Nata Dyshliuk, Moonlit Amber joined the Sentire line in 2025 as a Woody Oriental for women and men.
Rose, bergamot and bitter orange lead the opening, followed by opoponax, myrrh and iris root, with a base built around castoreum, labdanum, patchouli, Mysore sandalwood, musk and vanilla.
At first, the citrus element sets the tone. Bitter orange and bergamot feel crisp and faintly bitter, and the rose lends a soft floral roundness without sweetening the start too far.
Then the resins take over. Myrrh and opoponax offer a balsamic warmth with a gently spiced facet, while iris root introduces a powdery, composed texture.
The foundation is dark and lingering. Castoreum brings a leather touch, labdanum an amber glow and patchouli an earthy grounding, mellowed by Mysore sandalwood, musk and vanilla into smoke, wood and mellow sweetness.
Taken together, it reads as an evening-centred, enveloping composition — luminous florals and citrus above a musky, woody depth. Entirely shared in wear, with a calm, cosy presence.
It should appeal to wearers who enjoy balsamic, woody orientals touched with leather, smoke and vanilla and prefer a unisex fragrance with quiet intensity.
