Moroccan Royalty: An Oud-Forward Unisex Fragrance from The Dua Brand

New for 2025, Moroccan Royalty comes to us from The Dua Brand. It’s categorised as a woody-musk floral, and it’s designed to be worn by both men and women.

Perfumer Mahsam Raza constructed this scent around a blend of citrus, aromatics, and warm base notes. It’s a perfume that feels both invigorating and cosy, making it a good choice for many different moments.

The opening of Moroccan Royalty is decidedly fresh. Neroli and orange deliver a bright, slightly bitter citrus character, while eucalyptus and clary sage add an aromatic coolness. There’s also a hint of camphor that gives the top a clean, medicinal edge.

Before long, the fragrance transitions into a soft, amber-hued heart. Cashmeran contributes a delicate wood-velvet texture, and the amber adds a gentle resinous glow. A very fine powdery note emerges, giving it a touch of vintage elegance without dating the composition.

Then comes the base, where oud wood and vanilla take centre stage. The oud is smoothed out considerably; it doesn’t dominate in an aggressive way. Instead, it provides a subtle leathery depth that’s softened by vanilla. The result is a drydown that lingers closely and comfortingly.

Looking at the accords, we find woody, citrus, amber, aromatic, and vanillic elements, along with soft spices, musk, and a slightly powdery feel. The eucalyptus and clary sage keep things lively, so the scent doesn’t feel heavy or cloying.

This is not a loud perfume. It seems to work best as a personal scent, one that reveals itself over time. That makes it very easy to wear in the office or at an intimate dinner, without overwhelming those around you.

Those who enjoy woody-musk florals with a moderate oud presence will likely appreciate Moroccan Royalty. It’s also a great option for anyone who likes a fragrance that starts out fresh and then turns soft, sweet, and powdery.

Moroccan Royalty is another strong release from The Dua Brand. It brings together a lively opening and a gentle, woody base in a way that feels both modern and familiar. A reliable choice for everyday wear.
