The bottle itself defines it as the scent of a perfumed man arriving home, taking off his t-shirt, leaving a mix of salty sweat with his skin and traces of floral, all very pleasant and stirring passions. Very beautiful, but what does this smell like? It’s an animalic floral with a centre of nearly extinct hyacinth, valerian, and Indian neroli. All supported by a soft animalic base that ‘masculinises’ the flowers and a veil of ambergris that gives it a salty, peculiar, and disconcerting touch, hard to explain. Over time, the valerian loses its citrus and aniseed notes, softening the floral without losing it. Performance is good, around 7 or 8 hours, projecting heavily for the first 2 or 3 hours before dropping down to skin-level scent from the 6th or 7th hour. Its evolution is quite linear. The aroma is pleasant and strange, original without falling into gimmicks, a niche within a niche, potent at first but not heavy. High-quality notes, versatile, an almost unknown gem. If you don’t want to smell like livestock, try this house. For me, a 10 out of 10.
Smells fantastic and I snagged it at a price that leaves no room for complaint. Although it’s not my everyday style, I sold it quickly and made a bit of extra cash. I didn’t wear it much because these are vintage scents that I love to sniff but not wear; they give off a mature man vibe. I’d say from 45 or 50 onwards, this would be my perfect daily signature. From the first spray, I felt that potency and retro touch without being overpowering, yet with top-notch quality. It reminds me of 90s fragrances with that same staying power: Kouros, Barbera, Cuorium, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, or Drakkar Noir, even if it’s a different era. The box and presentation are top-notch. I gifted it to my wife and it suited her perfectly. I also tried Animacuiris, liked it, and sold it too. If you enjoy well-masculine, mossy vintage scents, this is for you (it doesn’t resemble them, but that’s what came to mind).
