Nada by Swiss Arabian

Nothing is simply wonderful; the word ‘nothing’ has never meant so much. It is an exotic, oriental perfume with many nuances of distant lands. It begins with a very oriental floral bouquet, where rose is particularly prominent, but do not think you will just smell rose and nothing else. No, it is an exotic blend of rose, woods and spices; the scent is beautifully woven, and if you are not looking for the rose, you will not even realise it is there. This treatment of floral notes in Arabian perfumery is very typical, and it is not the first time I have encountered it; personally, I like it very much. When the floral accord fades, the oud, which was present from the start but somewhat subdued by the floral note, becomes more intense. This is when it gains more presence, accompanied by a very noticeable animalic touch, though not excessive or dirty; it is just the right amount. Furthermore, in this part of the perfume there is something I cannot describe: a faint, milky sweetness that adds a truly exquisite depth to the fragrance. Judging by the notes, it must be ambergris; I honestly do not know what it smells like, but if this indescribable quality is it, then it is wonderful. The dry down is very similar to the heart, except the animalic note degrades in intensity and more woods appear to accompany the oud, this time warmer and spicier. I even get the impression that it includes some vanilla due to the creaminess this final phase acquires. It is a perfume that has left me with a very pleasant aftertaste. As for longevity and projection, we could say that its longevity is extraordinary, lasting more than 10 hours and really giving it all it has, but its trail is somewhat lesser, being moderate. As I have mentioned on other occasions, this depends on many factors. Clearly a nocturnal perfume for cooler weather, totally unisex.
