The top pairs candied fruits with dates. The effect is jam-like and rounded, almost syrupy, establishing the gourmand character from the outset.
The middle is led by honey, joined by saffron and jasmine. Honey gives body, saffron brings a dry, faintly leathery spice, while jasmine adds a bright white-floral lift.
