  How curious. The first image that came to mind when smelling ‘Opuluxe’ was the linoleum blocks I used for printmaking at art school. A scent I adored, reminiscent of petroleum and synthetic materials made from linseed oil, resins, and natural fillings like cork or wood dust. A potent mixture, similar to when you paint a room and the smell lingers throughout the house until it settles, like the finest varnish. I agree it bears a striking resemblance to Ganymede, one of the perfumes I’ve used most and still use today for its rarity and addictive scent that’s always there, even though it feels like you’re wearing nothing. There are more layers here. Both are interesting. Will I be unfaithful to my Ganymede? I’ll think about it.
