  1. This must smell like an Italian magnate stepping off a yacht in a Greek island, ready to go shopping and leaving a sophisticated trail wherever he goes! It’s an absolute knockout, a safe buy. I’m finding it increasingly reminiscent of a fusion between Voyage d’Hermès Parfum and Essenza di Roma by Lb, yet it possesses other notes that make it even superior, akin to the muscular version from Hermès. The longevity is on another level, hard to explain. Although the declared notes differ slightly from the brochure, I believe it’s a fragrance that earns you compliments by the bucketload: elegant, masculine, and alpha male. Cardamom, bergamot, laurel, half-fermented tea, and something smoky predominate, backed by exquisite woods. These are limited editions you regret waiting for after they drop in price or failing to buy them because you deserve them. Once you want it, it disappears forever or becomes a cult classic, with prices skyrocketing due to collectors; this happened with Midnight Paris, Chanel Ataeus, Cartier Santos, Gucci Pour Homme, Lalique Horse, and others. I understand it was a special edition by Armaf commissioned by Swarovski for their new debut brand, Oros, which aims for luxury with limited editions that later become highly sought after. The presentation features a large, robust box containing an inner box that impresses with its luxury; everything is designed to dazzle the opener. The cap is enormous, like a dark sun with gold and black, featuring a large, genuine Swarovski crystal of that size, specially made to adorn this perfume, reportedly worth $100 in pure crystal according to my research. The scent is one of my favourites in my collection. If it nods to Hermès Voyage Parfum with a blend also reminiscent of Essenza di Roma, two jewels I adore that Oros has placed back on display. If you can buy it, do so; it’s a safe purchase. Compared to designer store perfumes, which are repetitive, expensive, and have terrible packaging, Oros tramples on all those designers with its tremendous proposal. For an Arab house, this has a more Italian, Mediterranean, and very dominant cut. The box states ‘Made in France’ and details that it was commissioned by Swarovski for their anniversary, intended for their affiliates and staff, with part of the production leaking to us. When my perfume runs out and only the pure bottle remains, I’ll send it to a jeweller to remove the crystal from the cap and have them craft a pendant with that ‘light point’ crystal; it’s larger, and I’ll gift it to my princess. So, on top of having a jewel on the perfume cap… this is extraordinary!
