BRUTAL, absolutely brutal. An exquisite perfume, easy to understand and wear, yet it takes you to another olfactory level. For those who can’t stand that dirty oud, Dara Caro brings all the mystery and darkness of oud without the animalistic and unpleasant aspects. A blend of coffee, dark oud wood, and a sweet touch that balances everything. As the website says: A MASTERPIECE. EDITED 12 Dec 2024: It’s now one of my favourites. The development is interesting and noticeable from the start. It lasts over 10 hours, projects strongly for the first three hours, then fades gradually by the fourth. For me, a 9.5/10: it has power, a unique scent, and high quality.
This is my favourite from the brand. The opening is intense coffee; I love it because it smells like freshly ground coffee, and then the oud supports it beautifully. The oud in Dara Caro, at least in this line, is perfect for those who aren’t oud lovers because they’ve removed the rancid or foul notes, leaving only the dark, smoky woodiness. I personally prefer dirtier oud, but I must say that here it complements the coffee very well. On my skin, it lasts more than 10 hours, although the projection is limited to about four. If you wear it on clothes, it lasts for weeks.
