  It presents as a velvety, leathery, sumptuous, and imposing oud, with an evolution that opens the senses like a historical journey: a layer of King Henry VIII coloured with saffron and stored in a luxury wardrobe, with hints of powder and roses. It’s grand for standing out in both night and day settings without excessive heat. Due to its leathery character, it pairs perfectly with a good leather jacket or coat; it’s super sexy for both men and women. In its dry-down phase, it reminds me of Mancera’s Crazy for Oud, as they share perfumer Pierre Montale. In the end, it’s a friendly oud and rose, nothing stinky or overly loaded, with a minimal touch of sweetness and musk. The longevity is excellent, with a projection of about four hours and lasting eight to nine hours on skin.

  It’s an identical clone of Louis Vuitton’s Ombre Nomade. I feel like I’m revealing a secret: many people hunting for the original from the French house have no idea this option exists, matching not just the scent but also the performance and trail. It’s a bomb and a compliments magnet. An oud with roses that doesn’t require a highly developed nose to understand, just a little patience.
