Ouranon by Aesop is an oriental woody fragrance, designed for men and women. Launched in 2023, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Barnabé Fillion. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of lavender, elemi, and petit grain; a heart of hay, frankincense, and chamomile; and a base revealing myrrh, patchouli, and tonka bean.

A brutal, straightforward fragrance: top-tier quality with an old-school, masculine vibe (the ten women who look at me and dare me to wear it). Notes of amber and metals. I recommended it to an old friend one night because I was blown away, and she told me the perfumer’s story – if I understood her right, he studied fashion in the 80s before making his mark. She happily promised a tester and kept her word by bringing me a sample the next time we met. It’s an exceptional scent: like blending the full expansion of a mineral oud from Tom Ford, swapping that oud for finer fougère and barber-shop nuances in the truest sense. Power and balance. A real presence.
