Wow, I love it. It is not the most durable on skin, but I perceive it for about seven hours. I do not like the citrus and herbal opening much, but then comes the good part: incense, oud and a touch of leather. Welcome to my collection because it does not resemble anything I already own.

  • Not easy. The opening is very boozy, I smell whisky, but after ten minutes it disappears to give way to an atomic patchouli. The final phase becomes a little ambered.

Refined leather, violet and oud dominate. It vibrates elegantly, bright, slightly stuck and with a light woody touch, without being overly sweet. It is not ultra-serious, but a scent for adults, nothing to do with the teenagers of One Million. Lovely smell, good construction and quality. This Borouj is a subsidiary of a major Arab house that manufactures in France according to the box. I do not know Carlisle, but I suppose it faces it decently. Mid-range price and justified by scent and performance. The 85 ml presentation and the box are typical of Arab perfumery. Recommended 100%. It is like a cousin of Carolina Herrera’s Mystery Tobacco, but without tobacco, perhaps due to an aromatic coincidence.

A proper fragrance, the Arab version of Carlisle and Red Tobacco. Needless to say, I have loved it.

Fantastic fragrance, the Arabic version of Carlisle and Red Tobacco. Needless to say, I absolutely loved it.

Excellent opening. It feels like tobacco patchouli and chocolate. Very potent. It reminds me of something from Pure Havane. Deep in the dry down I detect a similarity to perfumes in the style of Davidoff’s Zino or Salvador Dalí Pour Homme. I calculate it is due to the patchouli. The final residue on clothes lasts at least a week and resembles the generic bases of many other sweet amber and vanilla perfumes. (Particularly it reminded me of Natura Dom). This final phase is excessively sweet to my taste although I noticed that depending on the fabric of each garment the perfume impregnates it generates a notable variation in the scent’s characteristics.

The opening is excellent: tobacco, patchouli and chocolate. Very potent, reminds me of something from Pure Havane. In the dry-down, I find similarities with Davidoff’s Zino or Salvador Dalí Pour Homme, probably due to the patchouli. The final residue on clothes lasts at least a week and smells of generic sweet, amber and vanilla bases (reminded me of Natura Dom). That last phase is excessively sweet for me, although I note that the fabric of the clothes changes the characteristics of the scent a lot.

A proper fragrance. Not for everyone, but if it is for you, it is enchanting. Extraordinary longevity: seven easy hours on skin and by the day on clothes. Pure beast style, so much so that it can generate fatigue.

Fantastic fragrance. An aroma not for everyone… but if it suits you, it’s enchanting. Extraordinary longevity. It easily projected for 7 hours, and it lingered on my clothes for days. Truly the closest thing to a beast mode in style. So potent it can even cause fatigue.

  • A fragrance not for the inexperienced nose. Inspired by Marly’s Carlisle, it copies right down to the quality. Made in France despite being an Arab brand, it is rich and comes in a luxury box, a winter exquisite for day and night. On opening, the red tobacco liquor, sweet and musky, makes you vibrate (similar to Mancera’s Red Tobacco). Then the greenery of basil and sage appears. As it dries, smoky notes of incense and violet emerge. The finish is woody, with soft oud and delicate leather. It is not linear, developing new notes over time. It has an animal, sexy and elegant touch. Not very versatile, 100% masculine, for cold climates and formal or semi-formal looks with a leather jacket. It smells like an expensive and exclusive perfume, denoting opulence and authority. On tough skin it lasts 12 hours, projects two metres at the start, and on clothes you have to exorcise it to get it to come out.

  • An aroma not for the inexperienced inspired by the niche fragrance Carlisle Parfums by Marly; a copy that matches the quality made in France despite being an Arab brand. It is incredibly rich and features one of the best atomisers on the market arriving in luxury packaging and a case. A true delicacy for winter suitable for both day and night wear. The opening of tobacco liquor makes it vibrate; a red sweet musky tobacco which is also why it resembles Mancera’s Red Tobacco. Gradually the green notes of basil and sage emerge. As it dries down the smoky notes of incense and violet shine brilliantly. The dry down is woody with soft oud and delicate leather accords. It is by no means linear developing new olfactory notes as time passes. It has a sexy animalic touch that is elegant. It is not very versatile 100 masculine; recommended for cold climates and formal wear with a suit shirt tie and overcoat or semi-formal with a leather jacket. Its uncommon scent smells like an expensive exclusive perfume denoting opulence authority seriousness and distinction. Lasts around 12 hours on skin projecting two metres in the first few hours and clothes need to be exorcised to release the scent.

The opening has nothing to do with the dry-down: it starts resinous, liquorish and spiced. Then it evolves, yet without losing that overwhelming power or veering into darkness. Ideal for people with character and confidence. The atomiser is another level—watch out for the sprays!
