Private Key To My Dreams by Armaf is an olfactive fragrance for men and women launched in 2023. Created by Mathieu Nardin and Ali Asgar Fakhruddin, this composition opens with top notes of pink pepper, cardamom, pineapple leaves, and black pepper. The heart reveals a harmony of lavender, orange blossom, apple, and bourbon geranium, while the base settles on leather, vanilla absolute, cedar, patchouli, and vetiver.

  • The reviews are pure trolling; they haven’t even tried it and claim the longevity is poor tremendous🤦🏻♂️

  • Well no my review isn’t trolling. My review is based on the fact that I bought a decant of each of the four perfumes in the Armaf Private Key series. Of the four this Key to My Dreams is the one I’ve liked the most so far. It has a certain similarity to Layton but it has its own stamp. It opens with a slightly spiced apple due to the pepper which gradually sweetens with the vanilla though it doesn’t reach gourmand levels. A timid leather note is noticeable. It feels high quality and the performance is acceptable at around seven hours projecting moderately for an hour and a half. It can be found in Spain at a few places for 85€. At that price I’m not planning to buy it and will have to wait until it’s available in more places and I hope the price drops.

  • What a surprise! In a shop in Mexico City, I was looking for something new and stumbled upon this gem. I thought it was a flanker of Club de Nuit, but it’s a different collection and was the one that caught my eye instantly. I paid around 2,200 pesos, a fair price compared to designer brands. It’s unique, not a direct clone but a blend reminiscent of several fragrances; the only commonality with Intense is the pineapple, but here quality cardamom and pepper dominate, nothing synthetic. Fruity opening, potent cardamom, and soapy lavender. It’s masculine, nocturnal, and suited to mild climates. Longevity hovers around 7 hours. Not quite a masterpiece, but it deserves a try for its less mass-market aroma. I’ll keep testing it.

  • This evolves very nicely; it’s a different scent but one that people love; they wouldn’t stop asking me what I was wearing. Good performance. Edit: This bloody perfume has so many nuances; in the dry down it now reminds me of Armani Code Profumo that vanilla-leather scent.

  • What a surprise I walked away with! I was in a department store in Mexico City looking for something interesting and found this little gem. The first thing that surprised me was the name; when I saw Club de Nuit I thought it was a flanker but it was a different collection and this was the one that caught my eye immediately. I paid around 2 200 Mexican pesos (approx. 128 USD) which didn’t seem expensive as many designer perfumes are in that range. As for the fragrance I find it unique not a specific clone but rather it reminds me of several things at once. The only thing it has in common with Club de Nuit Intense is that pineapple note but what I feel most is the cardamom and pepper. The cardamom doesn’t smell synthetic; on the contrary it smells high quality. Overall it has a fruity opening but not smoky with a potent cardamom and soapy lavender. I consider it masculine preferably for evening wear in temperate climates. The longevity isn’t bad around seven hours on skin. Although I’ve only had it for a few days I don’t consider it a masterpiece but it deserves a try because its scent isn’t as overused. I’ll keep testing it to give a more detailed review.

It starts sweet with pineapple and pepper alongside the florals. Towards the end the vanilla and leather work with the patchouli and that lovely woody base. Would I recommend it? I’m buying it straight away. It’s already been on my inner wrist for over three and a half hours… on clothes it would last double that and more. Definitely my next acquisition.

  • I went to a niche perfume shop and when they let me try it I didn’t hesitate to apply it to my skin; curiosity got the better of me and I adored it. Unfortunately they only had testers so I took the brother Key to My Success (grey) and they gifted me a decant of Key to My Dreams. As soon as I drove away I could only smell the perfume on my arm so I decided to wear it out for the evening what a treat. Yesterday I finished the decant at the office on the last day of the week and I was speechless. People like it; with the right sprays you can smell it all day without fatigue. It left me satisfied and without a doubt I will be looking for the full bottle. 10/10.

An incredible and outstanding scent. I love it; you can tell it’s pure quality with that niche touch you’re looking for.

  • No one mentions it but it’s a proper stunner. I just bought it and it smells exactly like Gisada Ambassador. I get why it’s hard to find because the brand doesn’t reach much (at least here in Argentina) but the notes are identical to the point where you’d think it’s a clone. It smells absolutely fantastic: I sprayed it on my inner wrist worked out washed my hands and it’s still there after ten hours. Madness.

Without a doubt a piece worthy of collection; its scent is rich and long-lasting with moderate sillage. That said, it is a scent that, although not too sweet, is for the evening; in fact, it is where it performs best at night. Its sillage is heavy but pleasant. I like it, although Armaf claims it is a completely original scent, there is a similarity with Layton, which is not a bad thing. After the price drop, I believe it is a purchase that will be even more justified as autumn and winter approach. It feels high quality. You can also detect the pineapple and the pink pepper; although it is a top note, it persists for quite some time combined with the cardamom, which gives it a delicious touch; later, after a few hours, the leather and woods become more apparent. It is a fragrance with great body and a good combination. Longevity is 8 hours on skin and clothes, up to 2 days. I repeat, the performance is given in cold or fresh weather. You can use it in heat, yes, but you will not get the performance you expect, and above all, you will not enjoy its exquisite aroma.

  • This evolves very beautifully; it is a different scent that people enjoy, and they could not stop asking me what I was wearing. Very good performance. Edit: This damn perfume has many nuances; now that it has dried down, it reminds me of Armani Code Profumo, that vanilla leather scent.

  • Today I bought two from this new Armaf line with high expectations due to all the reviews and the multiple videos from YouTubers, TikTokers, and Instagrammers. I bought this Key To My Dream and the Key To My Life. Well, let’s talk about this one in particular. I must start by saying I am quite disappointed with this line. Armaf had me accustomed to a good cost-to-benefit ratio, and of all the inspirations I have tried from Armaf and own in my collection, this has been the most disappointing. To begin with, this smells like burnt plastic, like the plastic dolls that lack genitals. With a fruity vanilla touch that goes nowhere. I have worn it all day, and so far, the only thing I have is a headache. Stop saying this stuff smells good and is a great perfume; the only thing this has is longevity. I do not believe any woman would like to be approached wearing this, and if you wear it on public transport, you will make people vomit. I will give it a couple of days to test, I will let my brothers try it to see how it feels on another person, and I will edit this review if I change my mind, although I do not think I will…

One of the perfumes that earns me the most compliments… people always ask me, ‘What are you wearing?’ because it smells different and projects wildly. If you are looking for a perfume for dates, parties, or to wear in cold or fresh weather… this is a beast! Just be careful with the sprays; no more than four.

  • Pendragon

Without a doubt it’s the best of the entire Private Key collection. It has earned me many compliments and although I don’t find it as heavy myself the people around me certainly do. It’s sweet creamy and the pineapple leaf note is very prominent a true treat. I recommend it blindly and the price (40 dollars) is superb.

  • Right… let’s be clear. This is a fragrance that shares at least 50% of its DNA with the following scents: SWY EDT, Valentino BIR Intense, and it also bears a resemblance to two of the Armaf Odyssey scents (the white one and a touch of the black one). So, if you already own one of the four mentioned above, I advise you to save your money and avoid owning fragrances that overlap almost entirely in scent, occasion, and so on. Broadly speaking, the core is lavender, vanilla-sweetened, with a hint of pink pepper and a few other minor notes.

  • One Million Elixir with PDM Layton needs no further introduction; this is a true jewel 💎 of elegance.

  • Private Key To My Dreams by Armaf is a lost love in perfumery; a charming scent that deserves more attention than trendy releases. Ideal for fresh nights or days, it lasts over 12 hours with top-tier trail and projection. Perfect for looking sharp in casual wear, it’s the kind of fragrance that keeps women showering you with compliments.

  • Private Key To My Dreams by Armaf has become one of my absolute favourites in the world of perfumery. It is a delightful scent, and I cannot understand why it is not talked about more. While many reviewers urge you to buy every new, quirky release, there are certain gems like this one that remain in the shadows. It is a perfume for nightwear or daytime use in cooler seasons, boasting beastly longevity of over 12 hours, along with excellent sillage and projection. It is a scent for when you are well-groomed, suited to casual attire, and a huge hit with women. Without a doubt, it is a compliment machine.
