It’s a refined fragrance carrying the DNA of the legendary Atkinsons English Lavender, but modernised with earthy notes; that’s the difference.
It genuinely smells like lavender. I’ve been comparing it side by side with pure oil in my hands and nearly mistook it for the EDC version while writing the review. It captures that classic cologne freshness: cleanliness, a crystal-clear scent, but it drops off quickly, lasting barely an hour and a half. The smell isn’t bad; it’s textured lavender (cashmere-like) and clean, with barely noticeable citrus notes. There’s no vanilla or anything else. The name Pure La-vender fits perfectly; it smells like that, lavender and nothing more. In the oil, there’s a natural floral touch, whereas the Ferrari evolves into something more chemical, like lavender fabric softener or soap. It’s a clean and pleasant aroma, yet a bit boring and lacking character. In fact, I use it frequently because I can apply it generously and I’m hoping to finish off a bottle that takes up a spot on my shelf full of various items.

The name Pure La-vender fits perfectly because it smells exactly like that. It’s a clean and pleasant aroma, yet a bit boring and insipid. In fact, I use it frequently with the advantage of being able to apply it generously, hoping to finish off a bottle that takes up space on my shelf full of various items.
