  Okeeeeey, right, right, right. This is ADG Profondo 100%. They come in 180ml and you can get them for $30 on Jomashop, it’s madness. The opening smells like Hawas mixed with ADG Profondo, but after a few minutes it settles very much like the classic Aqua Di Gio. The initial longevity (this new one) is a bit weak, around 4-5 hours. I hope with proper oxygenation it reaches 6-7 hours and turns out perfect. I love Armani, but side by side, the Arabiyat one stands its ground.

  Comparing it arm-in-arm with Armani’s Profondo 2020, Raees follows the same blue, aquatic lane but comes across as more youthful and bright. The opening is pure water with tangerine and a juicy green touch, like apple or clean shampoo, nothing cloying. In the heart, a well-defined geranium smells of masculine rose, green and soapy, with that aftershave or barbershop vibe that keeps it very manly. What Raees lacks is that mineral and ozonic edge, more ambroxan, so characteristic of Profondo when it dries, as if smelling a stone struck by the sea; Raees stays more in ‘fresh water’ and clean for everyday wear. Ideal for heat, the office and the gym. The similarity with Profondo 2020 is 75% (same blue vibe, but less mineral and less ‘deep/serious’).
