I loved it! It’s 95% similar to Layton. I own the original sample and it’s hard to tell them apart, except that Layton has a more intense and lasting mentholated air. The development is similar, although Royal Paragon’s opening is slightly more alcoholic and synthetic, but it disappears quickly. For the $20 I paid, I’m very happy. The longevity and projection are lower, but you can’t ask for more at this price.
Excellent perfume, lasting 7 hours with good projection and nearly 100% similarity.
Spectacular! Spot on with the Marly Layton. On my skin, it lasts around 7 hours. The opening is very sweet, which I didn’t love much, but it quickly transitions to an exquisite phase. For the first four hours, you get good projection and trail. By the fifth hour, it softens a bit, but the aroma bursts remain lovely. Between the sixth and seventh hour, it becomes a skin scent, though it’s more noticeable on clothing. It’s sweet and women adore it. I recommend it for fresh weather or evenings; yes for summer, but not in extreme heat.
Royal Paragon is a stunning Layton clone with 90% similarity. It opens sweet and spicy, capturing the essence perfectly. The difference lies in the dry-down: Layton evolves into something complex and multifaceted, whereas Royal Paragon remains more linear and faithful to the opening. Layton projects with greater refinement, but Royal Paragon replicates the DNA at a fraction of the price. For $20, it’s a brilliant alternative for those unwilling to spend too much. If you’re looking for something sweet and similar, it won’t disappoint; if you crave the rich evolution of the original, the real deal remains king.
