  • Very similar to Womanity, sweet and salty, though the opening smells of smoke due to the sandalwood, while the heart is more aniseed thanks to the juniper. Overall, it reminds me of Thierry Mugler but softer. Update: Only the opening and heart resemble Womanity, as after a few hours its true notes emerge, rarely confused with the fig and caviar of that other fragrance; then it becomes clear they aren’t fig or caviar, but something whose combination makes it seem so, yet a distinct aniseed and salty touch clearly arises.

  • A surprising marine aroma, but of real sea, not just aquatic notes. Although it smells of salt water, it’s not just for summer; the juniper, sandalwood and moss give it a character of a stormy sea, more versatile, as if the sea were splashing your face on a windy day. The intensity matches the amount applied; you won’t go wrong with more or less, the applications are faithful and you don’t need much to be satisfied. The only drawback is the oily residue on the skin, although it disappears in 15 minutes. A well-judged discovery. UPDATE: Watch out, those oily residues that I didn’t mind before are now a serious problem with clothes, leaving greasy stains that won’t go away all day. Unacceptable in a perfume of this category and price. A great disappointment.

  • Miquel, I understand you, but it makes sense that the EDP leaves a trace. Think of extra virgin olive oil; it’s oily and stains if it drips onto fabric. You’d need to spray from a more sensible distance so that what touches is a mist and not the direct stream because you’re so close.

This is a beast. This is truly what smelling like summer without smelling like sunscreen is all about (or which I also love). It smells of oxidised metal by the sea salt, all tangled with seaweed, as if it had an aldehydic touch. Fresh, bright, a hint of wood, marine but without anything rotten. If I had to compare it, it’s like Aqua Di Sale for that reflective vibe. I love it in summer. As a good Montale, the longevity is brutal and on clothes… days on end. And watch out, this has nothing to do with CK Reveal.

It leaves me with a smell of rot, almost giving me nausea, could that be the aquatic note?
