This is the perfume you’re looking for when it’s scorching hot and you want something sweet but not overpowering. Sexy Rio de Janeiro is exactly that: a mango blended beautifully with jasmine and a hint of vanilla, leaving you smelling tropical on the skin. Very long-lasting; on days over 30 degrees, it’s stayed on my skin for more than 10 hours, though it can become quite strong when you move around. A real treat for the heat.

Bought it blindly and, like with the Michael Kors range, it has never disappointed me… I fell in love at first sight! I couldn’t wait to get home to try it, so I sprayed it in the car and haven’t stopped smelling my wrist. It’s a fresh floral-fruity fragrance launched in 2014. It opens with mandarin and mango; the heart features violets, honeysuckle, lily of the valley, an exquisite jasmine, honeysuckle flowers, I detect neroli and gardenias, simply delicious. The dry down is sophisticated, elegant and luxurious with Tahitian vanilla, ambroxan and sandalwood. It has lasted 12 hours and when I thought it had gone, I caught it again in the shower. Perfect for summer evenings. Excellent trail. What a wonder, Michael Kors, standing ovation!
