  • Delicious, versatile, sweet, and sensual. It starts citrusy, but then vanilla takes centre stage, blending with cardamomo, passing through currants and pink pepper, before settling into a creamy, subtle vanilla. It’s easy to wear; I recommend it. I’ll be testing the projection and longevity.

  • Oh, what a delightful gourmand! I wasn’t expecting it. It’s a citrus bomb that finishes like lemon with vanilla ice cream on top.

The opening is brutal, almost made me sneeze, but then it evolves into something gorgeous. It’s sweet, intimate, and very pleasant. The bottle is a luxury.

  • If you like Ferragamo Uomo, it’s of that style, although it doesn’t have declared coffee, I still detect it.

  • YahirBonilla

Straight to the point, a tremendous disappointment; the opening was the worst I’ve smelled in a perfume, it smells awful.

Hello, I usually review after testing several times at different moments. I’ve had this for two months, macerated. When I bought it, I tested it and didn’t pay attention; it’s rich vanilla with a fresh citrus opening, and I left it there. Oh my! How well the maceration suited it… incredible. It projects massively and leaves delicious trails, filling the rooms I pass through. In the air, it’s top-notch (if you like vanilla). Then on skin, the dry-down passes through a phase where patchouli stands out; it doesn’t last long but smells a bit odd… bearable but not pleasant. Don’t worry, it passes, and then yes… that trail scent I mentioned sticks to you and stays… so delicious! Totally addictive fragrance. Do you prefer sweet or vanilla? Head over heels! Cheers.

  • It’s a good perfume but something curious happens: its trail is very delicious and gourmet, however, when you get closer intimately, it smells strong and overwhelming. It’s not for everyone and certainly not for every occasion.

This is not Nishane Ani; it is a vanilla scent, yes, but darker, a cousin of Ani. Ani is more luminous, daytime, sharp, and youthful, with the quality of the Turkish house. The Ani copy is Lattafa Nasheet; the heart and base are carbon copies (the Lattafa lacks the citrus opening of Nishane, which is its only difference). If you’re looking for an alternative to Ani and can’t find it in reviews, perhaps that’s why. It might be more nocturnal and winter-appropriate, but with average performance, as Fragrance World has its ups and downs. Nasheet is closer in longevity, though my gripe is that it’s linear. Anyway, the price is a laugh. Try before you buy blindly; nowadays there are Arabic decant shops, so just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean you should dive in based on reviews. Cheers.

The opening is really excellent, dark and intriguing… (pity it doesn’t last long). In the dry-down, that majesty drops considerably. I didn’t know what fragrances it reminded me of until I found it: it’s very similar to Benetton Colors Man Black, but with better quality, and also to Bentley for Men Intense.

  • Josué González Céspedes

Absolute perfume bomb, it’s 99.9% identical to Nishane Ani and absolutely delicious.

  • julian36085

Sweet slightly citrusy spicy and woody unisex. (The opening may seem more feminine let it dry). Although many say it’s only for winter for me it’s worn in summer without issue especially in the evenings. It’s not excessively sweet or a beast; it could be a signature perfume. On my skin it smells incredibly similar to Montale’s Intense Café at the minute due to the rose and vanilla but after 10 or 15 minutes the rose lowers and the woods emerge. I don’t feel it strongly; many times I stop smelling it but people say it projects a lot. Cheers.

Just purchased it and it’s lovely—a super fresh, dark vanilla that doesn’t overwhelm. The issue is, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but it doesn’t last more than three hours for me; I can smell it for an hour and then it fades quickly. I’ll give it another chance to see if the performance improves over time, because it truly is a delicious fragrance.

Bought it blindly due to the glowing reviews and the spectacular bottle, which I think is one of the best. The scent is distinctive: the opening is very strong with an exaggerated ginger note, but once it settles, the sweet vanilla dry-down is superb and stays with you all day. It’s versatile, looking better in cooler weather, though heat isn’t a dealbreaker. It shines more in the evening than in the morning. Longevity is average; I hope it improves with age. Overall, a very good fragrance; I’m not a fan of the opening, but the dry-down is worth it. A 7.5 out of 10.

I tried it and it fascinated me. It has an imposing opening with noticeable spicy and citrus parts. Once dried the rose comes to the fore and accompanies. In its dry-down the vanilla is very present sweet slightly citrusy and dark. It’s a scent that distinguishes itself and is noticeable. I loved it it lasts very well on skin and I’ll leave it for a few days to see its evolution.

  • I bought a macerated decant and it tastes very good. The citrus opening is impeccable and not strong. Within seconds the vanilla appears very low-key while the ginger fades and the roses emerge. I was blown away by the combination of notes but when I went into the underground with the decant more than three people turned around asking what scent was so good. It will please it’s rare but it will please. I recommend it 100% to escape from something vanilla-heavy like Le Male or Khamrah.

  • I bought it in May: it opens with a sparkling ginger a light citrus and a brutal vanilla. The opening can be off-putting and doesn’t evolve until after an hour or two. Then I feel that strong vanilla the light citrus and a very marked leather that isn’t a declared note. Others smell it as sweet lemon feet but for me it’s not like that. It’s not bad just not my favourite. I’d say it’s for over 17s ideal for any season except summer. Be careful with sprays. It lasts over seven hours and projects strongly at the start. Rating 7.8/10: not a blind buy but if you like vanilla scents without being super sweet it’s for you 🫡

  • What a marvel of a French Avenue! A friend let me try it and what a surprise! It’s a very well-executed dupe of the fantastic Ani Nishane, which I own in my collection. The opening makes the difference: Ani balances the ginger and bergamota better, without being so sharp or chaotic like in Spectre Ghost. The heart (cardamom, rose, currants) in Ani has better quality, creaminess, and balance. The dry-down is top-notch in both; Spectre Ghost is a carbon copy with vanilla taking the lead and subtle cedar. Totally unisex, perfect for all year round, even soft summer evenings. Elegant and sexy. At 30-35€ for 80ml, there’s no better option for everyday wear and saving Ani for special occasions. Great value for money (comes to 40€). Good sillage/projection and longevity (6 hours easily, with 2 hours of strong projection).

It had been a while since I smelled such a dreadful opening but once dried a high-quality vanilla is noticeable. I do not recommend buying blindly.

  • What a marvel from French Avenue. Thanks to a friend I got to try it and what a surprise! It’s a very well-executed dupe of the fantastic Ani Nishane. The opening is where the differences are most noticeable: on Ani the ginger and bergamot are better balanced and less chaotic. The heart of Ani has greater quality and creaminess. The dry-down is a marvel in both; Spectre Ghost is a carbon copy with subtle vanilla and cedar. It’s unisex perfect for all seasons especially summer evenings. At 30-35€ for 80ml I know of no better option for everyday wear. Great quality good sillage and six hours of projection.

  • The opening is synthetic and horrendous then a weird but wearable vanilla emerges. It lasts about six hours. I don’t understand why people say it’s identical to Nishane’s Ani; the vanilla ice cream from the supermarket seems the same. If you can gather a bit of money buy the original; it’s worth it.

  • I’ve had this fragrance for over a year and the opening smells awful like damp clothes stored between synthetic ginger and cardamom. Once dried the vanilla is decent but nothing special. I’ve tried Ani and I’m certain Spectre Ghost isn’t for me. If you really like the scent I recommend the original a thousand times.

  • I own many perfumes and the projection of this one gives me genuine agony: it’s a ginger with something dreadful almost vomit-inducing. It improves slightly over the hours towards a vanilla but that opening is far too strong.

  • At first I thought it was a letdown due to that synthetic ginger but once it had time to mature it turned into a wonder. I loved the dupe so much I managed to get a decant of Ani; honestly they are identical after the first 30 seconds where on Ani the bergamot stands out a little more.

  • I bought it and initially it was a letdown, smelling only synthetic with lots of ginger. I let it macerate and now it’s a wonder. Since I liked the dupe, I sought out an Ani decant; reviews said it was very different and superior. Honestly, Ani is identical, except the bergamot in the opening is more noticeable for about 30 seconds. After that, they are indistinguishable.

  • Probably the best profile in my collection, but it’s so complex that it’s almost impossible to appreciate; you have to be immersed in perfumery to value it like that. If you like basic perfumes, it’s not for you, because even though it has vanilla, you won’t like it easily, but if you’re passionate about eccentric scents, you’ll love it (the opening can be heavy with ginger but lasts 15 minutes and passes quickly). There’s something special; it doesn’t feel created by ordinary people. Easily the vanilla, pink pepper, and cedar I’ve ever smelled are the most delicious in my life. It takes time to get used to, but it’s a 9.7/10, incredible.

  • If you like sweet and warm vanilla, this is the Holy Grail. If you don’t like that vibe, this is your death. I accidentally sprayed it on my wrist thinking it was leather or wood because of the bottle, and I spent the whole day smelling as if I’d stuck my whole arm in a pot preparing a vanilla dessert. It wouldn’t leave my skin and projected too much for just one spray. Incredible quality of scent and ingredients.

  • Probably the best scent profile in my collection, but it’s so complex it’s hard to appreciate; you need to be immersed in perfumery to value it. If you like basics, it’s not for you, because although it has vanilla, it’s not easy to grab, but if you’re passionate about eccentric scents, you’ll love it (the opening can be heavy with ginger, but it lasts 15 minutes and passes). There’s something special here; it doesn’t seem made by normal people; the vanilla, pink pepper, and cedar are the most delicious I’ve ever smelled. It takes time to get the hang of it, but it’s a 9.7/10, incredible.

The opening is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever smelled. I know Nishane, and at first they don’t resemble anything, but… the dry-down is another story. When it dries, it smells lovely, but the opening ruins it anyway.

  • It’s strange that everyone talks about the cardamom, ginger, and especially the vanilla, but no one mentions the patchouli, which is the most dominant note in my opinion. The first thing that came to mind was a recent perfume I tried, Detoir Noir Exclusif, which clones Perfume de Marley Exclusif, where that note also dominates, just like in Mugler. Strangely, that note has been haunting me in almost everything I’ve smelled lately; at first I denied it, but it has crept into my tastes. The curious thing is that the scent close to the skin is different from what you smell in the air, and that’s where the magic lies. It’s an ethereal sensation, as if it were coming from another place. I experience this with other perfumes like Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne or Prodigy by Paris Corner. That’s why I now test them on other people to appreciate the scent better. Despite this, I don’t feel the potency that other reviews claim, but I’ve read that maceration is what creates the magic. I hope to verify that increase in the coming weeks.

Citrus and spicy opening with plenty of vanilla, slightly peppery. The ginger, cardamom, and pink pepper are noticeable but well-integrated. Then cedar rises, dancing with a fruity blend of blackcurrants and roses; sweet but not cloying, like a jam with a touch of bergamot zest. It has a powdery note and pink pepper; over time it gains a green tone, with earthy patchouli mixing with cedar and cardamom. After an hour, everything sounds like a harmonious choir. By two hours, spices, vanilla, cedar, and patchouli dominate over the florals and fruits. Finally, it’s creamy, delicate, powdery, vanilla-infused, and woody. It’s unisex, perfect for autumn and winter. Projects well for the first 3-4 hours and lasts 8 hours on skin. The bottle looks like leather. Highly recommended to try it.

Well, I’m here to give my take on this ghost. If you like challenging, sweet scents with a spicy touch and strong projection, this delivers on everything. As mentioned above, it has the style of Ani by Nishane but, in my view, with rougher nuances, especially at the opening; it’s a good option. It starts with sharp cardamom and ginger that make smelling it close complicated in the first few minutes (not recommended); you need to wait a few seconds before bringing your nose closer… Then a sweet, dense, and comforting vanilla appears. Clearly for cold climates and mostly for night (though if it’s cold, it works during the day too). Scent: 9 Versatility: 7 Sillage: 8 Longevity: 8 Total: 8 (Recommended). Greetings from Córdoba.

Citrusy and spiced opening with lots of vanilla, a bit spicy; you can tell the ginger, cardamom, and pink pepper are there, but they don’t bother, they’re integrated. Minutes later, cedar appears, with a dance of juicy dark fruits (currants and roses) that turns sweet without being cloying, like a fruit and rose jam with a hint of bergamot. It has a powdery touch and pink pepper, and over time it gains a green tone: earthy patchouli sprouts with cedar and cardamomo. After an hour, everything sounds in unison, a beautiful harmony. At two hours, the spices prevail, cardamom, vanilla, cedar, and patchouli over roses and currants. In the end, without losing the spiced touch, it’s creamy, delicate, powdery, vanilla-scented, woody, and with a grassy aroma. Definitely unisex, though made for men. Ideal for autumn and winter. Projects well for the first 3-4 hours and lasts 8 hours on my skin. Beautiful bottle that looks like leather. Highly recommend trying it on skin.

  • costabrava23

Freshly cut ginger opening, brutal! Then, half an hour in, it turns into a sugary vanilla that I simply don’t like. If you’re looking for something like ANI, forget this: it’s like comparing a Porsche to a Citroën. I bought it blindly due to the hype and now I regret it, though I’m glad I caught it on sale. I won’t be returning to French Avenue. Now I just have to decide who to gift it to.

  • To be honest, it smells of chocolate. I wouldn’t recommend it at all: it doesn’t last long and has no projection, not even at 10 cm. It’s a different scent but nothing conquering. If you want to go unnoticed and not receive a single compliment, buy this.
