Descripción

Spicebomb Infrared Eau de Parfum by Viktor&Rolf is a leather fragrance for men. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by Carlos Benaïm, Nicolas Beaulieu and Jean-Christophe Hérault. The top notes unfold with cinnamon, chilli and pink pepper; the heart reveals chilli and leather; while the base settles on resins and woody notes.

  • I’ve seen in several reviews that with just a couple more sprays it turns into beast mode. You have to buy it quickly before they reformulate it like the normal and Extreme versions. What a pity.

  • mateotello_1202

It is a beast mode fragrance. I got it at a good price (42 dollars) in a 50ml bottle; it’s worth every penny. It lasts a minimum of 8 hours on skin with very good projection. On first sniff, I felt an aroma I had never sensed before; no other fragrance reminds me of this one, only the EDT version. I recommend it for situations where you want to stand out with a touch of daring and a mischievous air. Definitely for night and cold weather. If you want to wear it during the day, don’t go over 4 sprays. I use 5 or 6 to go out and 3 or 4 to head to uni.

I don’t know why they call it beast mode. Sometimes I think it depends on the batch; the concentration seems to change. I compared it with the reformulated EDT and stuck with the latter for longevity and projection. I prefer the aromatic side of the classic, even over the Infrared EDT. For me, the Spicebomb Infrared EDT is dispensable in the collection.

This perfume is identical to L’Homme Ideal L’Intense (the black one)… they are too similar, I own both. Both are leather plus chilli. And no, it doesn’t resemble the Extreme at all… (I own that too).

  • Fantastic. Straight out, it gives the impression of undeclared berries, I suppose due to the fusion of pink pepper and chilli, plus an exquisite cinnamon blended with leather and other delicious spices. It doesn’t feel spicy from the chilli. It’s very seductive, alluring and addictive, denoting quality in the ingredients. It clearly recalls L’Homme Ideal L’Intense due to the chilli, leather and spices, but I liked this one from V&R more as it is more balsamic and resinous. Highly recommended even as a blind buy; it’s very easy to enjoy.

I’ve been testing it for days and still can’t convince myself if I need it. I must say the performance compared to the EDT is better. I would have liked them to add the tobacco note; it would have been brilliant. Anyway, it opens with delicious and very realistic chilli and spices, drying down to a totally amber scent around 30 minutes until the end. It’s an amber with a dirty, acidic, and spicy touch from the spices; the leather is very subtle. The performance is a bit better than its predecessor but not enough to call it normal. The price is very high for what it offers, so it’s not suitable for blind buys. As a reference, it reminds me a lot of Natura’s Essencial Único, which also dries from start to finish with a strong animalic amber. Obviously we aren’t comparing quality, but Essencial Único has a bit more punch.

Out of my 20 perfumes, this is the last one I bought and it’s already my signature, among the top 3. It works all year round, but it really shines at night.

  • LycheGames

Of my 20 perfumes, this is the last one I bought and it’s now my signature, ranking in my top 3. I wear it in any season, but it’s the one that suits me best for the evening.

  • In my case, this perfume is closer to the bad than the good. It has a spaced-out warm aroma with that distinguished base of the original Spicebomb, but the chilli and berries turn the generic sweetness into something ‘intense’. It’s very linear: if you’re looking for skin changes, this won’t give them to you. I’ve had it for a month and I’m already bored. Not a good purchase; I tried the original and it’s much better. Perhaps my personality, more explosive than intense, doesn’t suit it. The scents are good but I don’t like them entirely. Longevity is poor: even with several sprays or reapplying after a shower, it lasts only about two or three hours. By the fourth hour, the intensity is gone and only a very faint base remains. In conclusion, it smells good, has unique intensity and sensual personality, but you have to be a certain type of person to bring it out well.

  • In my case, this perfume is closer to the bad than the good. It smells spaced out and warm with that distinguished base of the original Spicebomb, but with chilli and red fruits that make the sweetness more intense. It’s very linear: it doesn’t evolve on the skin like the original. I’ve had it for a month and I’m already tired of it; not a good purchase. I tried the original Spicebomb and it’s much better; perhaps my explosive personality doesn’t go with its scents, which are good but I don’t like them. Also, the longevity is poor: although you put on several sprays or almost bathe in it, it lasts 2 or 3 hours well, but by the fourth hour the intensity is gone and only a very subtle base remains. In summary, it smells good, has intensity and sensual personality, but you have to be an individual to wear it and project it well.

It’s exquisite. I own the toilette and this one, and the difference is that the parfum is darker with a more pronounced leather note. I love it for my rocker style, leather jacket, and all-black look. It projects well for about two hours.

  • Spicebomb Infrared EDP promises to be more complex but doesn’t deliver. The red chilli is noticeable from the first spray and, while it’s a bold move, it feels a bit sticky. It lacks cohesion; the chilli opens well but then drifts into a generic, mild sweetness. It doesn’t have the punch of the original nor the richness of the Extreme. It ends up halfway between: not fresh enough for day nor intense enough for night. It doesn’t add much to the collection. Performance is also disappointing: good initial projection, but it fades quickly with only moderate longevity. Don’t buy blindly; if you own the original or the Extreme, you’ll see this doesn’t surpass them.

  • I’m disappointed. The scent is very good and special, but longevity and skin projection are extremely low. I applied more than 15 sprays (six behind each ear and four on the neck) and could only smell it on myself. What a pity, as I was so excited about the scent.

  • Smells good and is different, but straight out of the bottle it smells of pepper, almost like Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP. They say it’s due to the red chilli, which is my humble opinion.

  • It smells good and different, but I get the feeling it smells like pepper at first, like Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP. I understand it’s the red chilli, but that’s my personal opinion.

  • santidepanabel

Honestly, they don’t tell me as often that I smell good with this (unlike Pure XS), but it’s one of those fragrances I enjoy wearing for myself.

  • Spicebomb Infrared EDP promises a more complex version of the line, but the reality is that it falls short. From the first spray, the red chilli is noticeable, which for many is a risk. That spicy touch tries to differentiate it, but it feels like a sticky patch, lacking the expected cohesion. Although the chilli opens well, it soon gives way to a generic and lukewarm sweetness. The original had that explosive hit, the Extreme a rich evolution, but Infrared lacks character. It ends up halfway: neither fresh enough for the day nor intense enough for the night. It doesn’t add much to the collection. The performance is also disappointing: good projection at the start, but it fades quickly for an EDP, with moderate longevity. It’s clear: don’t buy blind. If you have the original or the Extreme, you’ll notice that Infrared doesn’t surpass or improve the experience.

  • Spicebomb Infrared by Viktor&Rolf is an exotically attractive fragrance that combines chilli, cinnamon, leather, and woods in a dark and striking way, creating a bold work of art. The performance is excellent in both longevity and projection. As for compliments, opinions vary; some will love it while others might find it just another fragrance. Personally, I think it’s excellent and I’m smitten. I totally recommend Spicebomb Infrared for anyone wanting to step out of the mould and attract attention in a positive way. Hope I can get my hands on it soon.

  • Friend, this olfactory masterpiece finally arrived today. What a proper perfume, mate. That blend of cinnamon, leather, woods, and spice is fucking unique; I’ve never heard anything like it. I’d recommend trying it before buying blindly as it can be heavy or strong. I let a friend try it and I was worried she wouldn’t like it, but luckily she loved it (she’s very pretty, so you know the guys can use it too).

A very interesting fragrance. It has a distinguished composition where the spicy notes and cinnamon work naturally and beautifully. The wood is in the background but gives it that masculine touch that makes it solid. Perhaps projection isn’t its strong suit, but those close by will appreciate it. 7.5/10.

  • ssasakiman

I tried it thanks to a friend and it was crazy. To me, it has that spicy touch that gives the density Extreme lacks, yet they share that DNA that identifies them when smelled together. It’s very spicy, which makes it unique; that blend of cinnamon and spices is wonderful for going out at night in -20 degree weather. Very masculine and aggressive, ideal for standing out. I would definitely buy it and get it soon, what a shame it’s not available in my country.

  • What a gem; it’s the best in the line for me. The only downside is that it doesn’t last very long on my skin. It’s both zesty and sweet; initially, the pepper and cinnamon dominate, and it’s an incredible fragrance.

  • metroidsoldier

I went to try it in-store and was blown away: it’s spicier than the rest. The cinnamon and chilli blend beautifully with the red pepper and those woody notes, leaving a scent that is super warm, spicy, and incredibly intense.
