Smells just like the original Spicebomb but loaded with benjuí. It’s sweet, warm, and has good performance. At first, it reminded me of bitter notes like Kas or Cinzano and repelled me, then it evolves into that exact cinnamon of the EDT. It’s not bad, but it left me indifferent; perhaps I expected something denser. If you have the original, buying this Infrared is throwing money away, although it is well made.
I love this new one from Viktor&Rolf: the cinnamon and pepper are balanced from the start with a quality saffron that gives that spicy touch. The red berries are subtly noticeable. The only downside is the longevity, which doesn’t last more than 5 hours for me, but it projects strongly for the first hour and I like it so much that it doesn’t matter.
Mysterious, sexy, and delicious, it’s ideal for fresh climates, dates, and evening dinners. It’s worth it for being something different from the current market.
Elegant and potent, this fragrance warms up the room at galas or on chilly days. It opens fruity and spicy with pink pepper, cinnamon, and chilli, before settling into a nice quality tobacco base. Projection is huge at first but fades quickly; it lasts around 4-5 hours and needs reapplying. Ideal for over 30s, it’s the ‘younger’ version of Tobacolor. For the price, you should fall in love with the scent, as the performance doesn’t quite justify the cost. 5-8 sprays.
VIKTOR & ROLF SpiceBomb INFRARED 🍓🌶🚭 Eau de Toilette (EDT) with notes of Red Fruits, Red Pepper, Red Chile, Cinnamon, and Tobacco. Its notes are clearly for the night. It has a powerful opening of Red Fruits, accompanied by cinnamon and the Benzoin Resin which gives it extra power at the opening and grants maximum projection so its intensity lasts longer. I have used it in the middle of summer with over 26 degrees and it projected quite well; its longevity is good, over 5 hours at medium intensity, for an EDT. What I do find annoying is that it costs 130 dollars and is an EDT, but it already seems like an EDP. Recommended sprays: 4 to 5. Fixative rating: 8. Sillage: Medium. Intensity: Medium.
Spicebomb Infrared is the playful, sweet side of the family: a burst of red berries that smells like cinnamon gum. Warm and cosy, it’s perfect for cold nights and casual wear.
Spicebomb Infrared has seemed to me a surprisingly good and rich aroma, but I have the feeling it could have been something more to be practically a perfect fragrance. At the opening, the three notes that undoubtedly dominate are the red fruits, the cinnamon, and a very subtle tobacco, over a spiced and peppery bed that at times is heavily dominated by pepper and can give a slightly synthetic appearance, but in its dry down it feels more balanced and frankly delicious, with a sweetness in its place. It evolves more towards tobacco and the spices remain supporting the aroma well, having a good performance without being outstanding. I like it very much, I was surprised, and I think it is undervalued due to the excessive fame of Spicebomb Extreme (well-earned) and the failure of Night Vision. However, as I said, I feel it lacks a bit more density to be a 10/10. The cinnamon is wonderful and the red fruit accord does not feel synthetic, but the spices make it more volatile and that does not entirely convince me. Despite the last point, I think it is worth trying; I feel it is ideal for temperate and cold climates, unisex, and various situations. Note: 8.5/10.
It is very rich, spiced, but cinnamon is the protagonist; it is only strong at the opening and projects for the first hour, after which it disappears without leaving a trace. It is of good quality but, for the projection and longevity, I would think twice about the price. It is very similar to the classic version; I have both and there is only a slight change due to the cinnamon. Scent 8, Longevity 5, Quality 8, Projection 6.
Very rich and spicy, but the cinnamon is the star. It’s only strong at the opening and projects for the first hour, then disappears without a trace. It’s good quality, but for the price and longevity, I’d think twice. It’s very similar to the classic version, just a slight change in the cinnamon. Scent 8, Longevity 5, Quality 8, Projection 6.
When I tried it in the store, I bought it for skin testing at home; I liked it very much, but I only feel it on skin for 2 hours and then it flies off… What it costs for what it offers, I will not pay for it; I feel it is a pity what the designer houses are releasing. They are gradually dragging me towards looking for other options, either the budget side where you find true surprises, or the niche world.
The sales assistant sprayed it on me and seemed to smell it with a certain air of superiority for a while. It has the aroma of the original with a certain hint of the One Million DNA. Typical fragrance for outings, dates, and such. I did not find it bad, to be honest.
Exquisite fragrance! Spiced, with a delicious cinnamon aroma; when it dries down it becomes very soft and very masculine. With this, you will stand out wherever you stop… on the street, everyone smells like Sauvage, One Million, or Invictus… Highly recommended!
It is one of the perfumes I have used most this Christmas thanks to its cinnamon and benzoin touch. Compared to the rest of the family, it is not as explosive or loud; it is more melancholic, surrounding you and making you feel at home. It is the best Spicebomb for me. Due to compliments from a relative, I wanted to gift one, but it was impossible to find another. It is a pity that it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain; I do not know if it has been discontinued, but there is none left in stores.
@juangse has it in physical Primor stores. I tried it and did not like it at all… It smells like sweet cosmetics to me. It could look good on a woman.
A Christmas explosion of fruits and spices! It starts with grapefruit and sweet red berries, but quickly the spices take over with a powerful cinnamon reminiscent of childhood gum and a hint of clove. It finishes sweet with a faint tobacco, perfect for a winter snack. It’s very original despite sharing notes with other spicy scents; it has its own personality. Ideal for climates below 20°C, casual wear, and for younger people in autumn/winter. Lasts 6-7 hours with 5 sprays, projects strongly for the first hour and leaves a trail as you walk. If you’re looking for quality spicy notes without being brash, I recommend it.
A Christmas explosion of fruits and spices! Initially, a subtle grapefruit with a hint of red fruit sweetness might make you think it’s for warmer weather, but it changes quickly. The heart phase densifies the spices, with cinnamon taking centre stage and an undeclared clove-like note; I love it because it smells like cinnamon gum, which I was a fan of in my childhood. It finishes with a sweet base and a faint tobacco, classic protagonists after an afternoon treat on a winter’s night. Originality: Great similarity to its eldest sibling as a flanker. Except within its family, it is very original despite sharing spiced profiles with proposals like Man In Black by Bvlgari or Wanted By Night by Azzaro; it has its own personality. It would not be redundant to have the full line alongside those two perfumes. Climate: Suitable where temperatures do not exceed 20°C. Although it can work up to 25°C, the cinnamon phase might become cloying for some. Versatility: Perfect for casual situations, young people in autumn and winter evenings where it smells cosy. Not bad for adults, but they might prefer its mother fragrance as it is less sweet. Performance: At 10-20°C with 5 sprays (sides of the neck, behind ears, and nape), the bottle from batch “22UN0DS” (Nov 2021) offers: Longevity 6-7 hours. Projection: 1st hour at arm’s length, drops to shoulders in the 2nd, stays close to the skin in the 3rd, and disappears at skin level by 6-7 hours. Sillage: Leaves a trail when walking for the first hour and a half. At 0-10°C it offers almost the same, except projection drops slightly in the first hour; longevity and sillage remain equal. Reformulations: I have not been able to compare batches, so I have no information. Would I recommend buying it? If you are looking for a high-quality spiced fragrance where the harsh notes recede to the background, certainly! At the expense of not knowing Spicebomb Extreme, I consider it one of the best spiced fragrances on the market. If you are new to this, here is how it differs from others: -Citrus opening without red fruits, increased spiciness, and similar longevity: Spicebomb EDT. -Sweetness of various fruits, spiciness turned to cumin, and a slightly earthy base: Wanted By Night. -Sweeter version, decreased spiciness, and similar to Wanted By Night: Spicebomb Nightvision EDP.
A sweet, ambered spice elixir with a fine tobacco base. It’s very ambered and sweet, lasting and projecting all day without being overwhelming.
Like the rest of the Spicebomb line, it feels too synthetic and linear. It’s a sweet scent above all. It lasts over seven hours in cold weather with normal projection. It’s not bad, but there are many better options in this vein. Forget it at that price (with the official dollar rate today, 90ml bottles sell for nearly $300).
A spiced elixir that explodes with sweet, amber notes over a fine tobacco base. It is very sweet and amber-forward, lasting and projecting all day without being overwhelming.
This is the second time I’ve tested it on my skin. 1) Totally unisex, I’d say more feminine. 2) It has nothing of the ‘Bomb’; you feel the pink pepper for the first half-hour, but nothing that any Arabic perfume doesn’t have. 3) Rich scent? Yes, but for the price, it doesn’t invent anything new. 4) After four or five hours on skin, I practically feel nothing. I don’t detect any tobacco at all. Since I love Red Tobacco, L’Homme Ideal EDP by Guerlain, and other fragrances with red fruits and tobacco, this Spicebomb Infrared was disappointing.
A sweet and spicy aroma with moderate projection that lasts all day… exquisite. Recommended for autumn and winter, suitable for day or night. Rating: 9/10.
It smells of red fruits, pepper, tonnes of cinnamon, and tobacco leaves. The benzoin base, vanillaised and resinous, is lovely. It reminds me of cinnamon gum, as @nelson gil escano said. Overall, it gives a very Christmas-like vibe. At first, it reminded me of Stronger With You Intensely, but they only share the cinnamon-pepper combo. The red fruits kick in quickly and take it in a different direction. It’s less dense, the cinnamon is more prominent, and it lacks the toffee note found in the Armani version. In general, Spicebomb Infrared is easier to wear. It projects well for the first two hours and then becomes skin-scent only. It lasts about 7-8 hours. It’s rich, unisex, and winter-appropriate. Better to try it first; those who dislike sweet or spicy scents probably won’t enjoy it. Scent 7/10, Longevity 7.5/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 4/10. Would I buy it again? I didn’t.
One day I went to buy a perfume I had in mind, smelled it, and the next day I already owned it. The scent isn’t complicated: cinnamon and red fruits combine superbly. I don’t understand why people nowadays say something is an EDT or EDP; this lasts incredibly long on skin and clothes and projects quite well. I recommend it 100%.
I tested it on my skin this morning. It’s a very potent concentrate of cinnamon with a hint of clove. I couldn’t appreciate any other clear notes. Unless it’s very well balanced, I simply cannot stand smelling such overwhelming edible scents. Added to the excessive price, I’m ruling it out completely.
Is it true or false that testers smell stronger than the regular bottle? The day I bought it, it projected for hours, but today, upon opening it, it smells much weaker. To cut to the chase: it’s a good fragrance, not overly mass-produced, and slightly pricey. The opening is harsh, with intense pink pepper and saffron… but the magic arrives later: the red fruits on their own, then bathed in cinnamon. A delight. Later, a sweet hint of chilli joins in, floating like a balloon, accompanied by sweet tobacco leaves and potent resins. Red fruits, cinnamon, and resins. It’s masculine, youthful (not childish), informal, sensual, warm, cosy, autumnal, and suitable for day or night. I really like it; I’m just starting to use it and I prefer it to the EDP, as it’s darker.
The opening is identical to the classic Spicebomb, with that cotton-like, sweet, and spicy scent. However, a few minutes in, the red fruits emerge, like a cherry or a very faint cough syrup, kept in check by the cinnamon. It smells delicious and is easy to wear. If you like the original and want something different yet similar, it’s a great option. The longevity and projection are disappointing (considering the price); after six hours, it’s skin-scent only, though it lasts about twelve hours.
It bears a strong resemblance to the original, though with a fruitier twist; the cinnamon and tobacco notes remain. However, the longevity and projection are a disaster, making it one of the worst Spicebomb versions I’ve tried.
There is a lot of hype on TikTok, but the truth is I find it very spicy. It’s a matter of taste, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.
I don’t understand the hate; it’s very pleasant and unique thanks to that spiciness that receives many compliments. It lasts 5-6 hours on skin (very good for an EDT) and trails for 2 hours. I like it more than the EDP because it’s fruitier. Depending on the price, it’s an excellent option.
I don’t know why there’s so much hate; I see it as a very pleasant fragrance. The spiciness makes it unique and striking; it’s the one that has given me the most compliments. It lasts about 5-6 hours on the skin (very good for an EDT) and the trail about 2 hours. I like it more than the EDP for the fruitier scent. Depending on the price you get it for, I think it’s an excellent option.
I tried it on skin today and I must say it was a disappointment. The idea is good, but the performance is very poor for the price. The red fruits are good at first, but after 30 minutes it becomes spicy, bitter and the final chilli note is very good. I never managed to detect the tobacco. Anyway, not suitable for blind buys…
I had the chance to try a decant. I’m not usually a fan of this type of perfume, but on the occasions I wore it, it was rich and lasted quite a while on my skin. It works very well for fresh weather.
It’s a scent that arrives in subtle bursts. It’s cosy thanks to its warm spices but with a fresh touch. The red fruits at the beginning are boozy and blend with the sweetness of intense cinnamon and the meatiness of the chilli. The dry-down is sweet and tobacco-infused. It’s masculine, very oriental and gourmand.
I find it very unisex, spicy with lots of cinnamon in the development. I only noticed the red fruits at the start as a fresh garnish, which later turns cloying and slightly dense. In my opinion, it isn’t very projecting or versatile; like the Extreme, I find it very skin-scented, wintry and for close encounters. Given the price, it’s worth thinking about, although it’s not a bad buy for cold climates, as it’s not a common DNA.
Rich, too rich and delicious. Since I tried it, I knew I wanted it, but the longevity wasn’t what I expected for something so potent and nocturnal. It lasts a maximum of 4 hours and I have to reapply. What a pity! I will finish it, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again with that performance, even though it hurts my soul because I love it.
It smells very much like Hugo Boss Red Intense.
Explosive, warm and seductive. If you like Khamrah, this will make you smile: Spicebomb Infrared follows that line but with its own style. The initial spray is a bomb: ripe red fruits, hot cinnamon and imposing tobacco. It’s powerful, invasive and very seductive. It performs like crazy and lasts hours with strength. It’s not for dates or enclosed spaces; use it at your own risk, with caution. It reminded me of something in my collection: Khamrah Qahwa. They aren’t identical, but if you remove the coffee from the Qahwa, you get about 90% of this Infrared. They share the same structure, but Infrared is sharper and more direct. The dry-down is a bomb of cinnamon, tobacco and fused spices in something warm and addictive. A cold-weather night perfume to stand out and leave a mark. Rating: 9.5/10.
A total delight. If you know the original Spicebomb, this is about 80% similar; the difference lies in the red fruit opening, which makes it sweeter, and a more subdued, less bright cinnamon. It’s an exquisite olfactory experience. In terms of longevity, like the original, it lasts about 3 or 4 hours on the skin and needs reapplication. They aren’t beasts in projection, but the scent is top-notch.
It’s bold yet cosy. It opens spicy with dark notes of tobacco and spices, giving off a seductive party vibe, but as it dries down it becomes warm and comforting. I detect plenty of cinnamon, cherry-like red fruits, chilli and tobacco. It’s sweet but refreshing at first, without being overwhelming like others in this profile. It feels original and easy to distinguish, with touches that make it unique. The longevity is average, but the trail is incredible: it doesn’t fill the room, but follows you around in a soft, constant thread. Ideal for parties, dates or nights out with friends. It’s bold and conciliatory at the same time, two sides that fit perfectly in this bottle.
