Sunlit Current, Citrus Light with a Sea-Wood Finish
From The Dua Brand, Sunlit Current is a citrus-aromatic scent made for women and men alike. Introduced in 2025 by perfumer Mahsam Raza, it pairs a radiant citrus opening with a broad floral heart.
Orange, lemon, bergamot and lime shape the top. Jasmine, rose, freesia, violet, cyclamen, coriander and nutmeg form the middle, set over marine notes, patchouli, amber, cedar, musk and oakmoss.
In character it is a classic citrus-aromatic, centred on citrus, florals and woods. There are also aromatic, freshly spiced and earthy inflections, tempered by powdery impressions of white blossom, violet and roses.
The first impression is clear and sunlit: rounded orange, livelier lemon and lime, and bergamot lending an aromatic edge. It feels fresh, legible and very much daytime.
At the centre, the bouquet takes over. Jasmine, rose and freesia give luminosity, violet and cyclamen soften with powder, while coriander and nutmeg add a cool spiciness that keeps everything lifted.
The base turns maritime and woody. Sea notes keep the freshness going, patchouli and oakmoss supply an earthy anchor, and amber, cedar and musk round to a calm, well-groomed close.
It should suit lovers of citrus-led scents that develop through flowers towards wood and marine notes, and anyone after a contemporary unisex creation from 2025 that is easy to wear and understand.
All in all, Sunlit Current moves from citrus brightness through spiced blossom to a marine-woody foundation. A tidy, present-day reading of the citrus-aromatic genre for daily wear.
