I bought Afshan Not Only Intense, Supremacy in Oud, and this last one, Gold, blind. I already knew about the first two and they didn’t disappoint, but I knew nothing about the third and trusted the quality of the others. The truth is, I don’t know what to say: I’m not sure if I’m disappointed or just don’t care, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It smells of fruity caramel with a potent oud; the iris is medicinal, like Prada, not like the Dior lipstick. In the end, the oud and patchouli leave a disagreeable dry-down. It smells more like a mature woman’s perfume. I don’t see it on any man, nor do I know if I’d wear it myself; I think I’ll gift it to my wife or mother. Upon closer analysis, it suits a woman elegantly.
@nathanoj every nose is different, but this doesn’t remind me of Dior Homme or the discontinued Prada L’Homme Intense at all. Maybe I should try it again, but to be honest, I see it as dispensable.
It’s a bomb of spices and woods that won’t go unnoticed; if you’re looking for something discreet, forget this one. I love it for any season: it can be strong by day, but it’s ideal for night or special events where you want to stand out. It suits someone with character who projects confidence. It’s nothing flashy, but given the price, longevity, and notes, it’s a good buy.
It smells like Magie Noir by Lancôme, with that spicy, vintage touch I absolutely adore.
