Supremacy Noir by Afnan

I own a bottle of Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme and it smells exactly like this, but Afnan lasts longer on the skin and has better projection. It was my favourite and I had a lot to say about it, but it won me over in the first hour, hahaha. I arrived in a bad mood, put it on and it changed my day. I had appointments with clients who always ask about perfumes and now they commented on it. I don’t know if it’s my pH, but it suits me incredibly well. For me, it’s a 10/10: elegant, intimate, versatile for night, casual or formal. Long-lasting, delivers, smells original, the bottle is nice and leaves a trail.

I just bought it. The scent is pleasant but reminds me of Encre Noire Sport, so if you have that, I don’t recommend buying ASN. ENS seems like a masterpiece. It’s not a blind buy and definitely not youthful, although it is nocturnal, for meetings with friends or a partner. It suits almost elegant formal events. It’s not for everyday wear, but everyone has their own taste. It lasted me over 8 hours on clothes, maybe 6 on skin. I suggest spraying discreetly; it’s not for drenching yourself in it, it can become heavy. I’m making my opinion with very warm weather; surely in cooler temperatures it would be even better.

I’m not an expert in perfumery nor do I have a trained nose, but I’ve been into this for years and I have around 50 perfumes. This is my honest opinion as an ordinary person who enjoys good scents. Upon trying it, my brain unlocked an immediate memory: ‘This smells like Acqua di Gio Profumo’. I never owned that bottle of Armani, but I tried it several times and even had a dupe, and the general sensation with Profumo is the same as I have now with Supremacy Noir. It opens with green, earthy and fresh notes; in my rough identification I’d say it smells like rosemary (it’s not in the pyramid, but perhaps it’s the fir or a combination of notes), something fresh which I suppose is the bergamot, not sweet or juicy, just fresh, all wrapped in an aura of synthetic violet, that one from common candies in Mexico and sweet lozenges. The progression is very linear: the freshness of the bergamot and violet disappears, becoming more earthy until an identifiable incense highlights, reminiscent of Profumo or Bentley For Men Intense, giving it a mature and dark air. In projection or trail (being generous with the trigger) it’s not a bomb, it stays at skin level where the wearer can smell the bursts, but doesn’t project beyond personal space, which is positive for the office without being intrusive but with presence. Performance is average to low; if you don’t reapply in 3 or 4 hours it feels very weak. I highlight its green, earthy, dark and mature profile. If you’re looking for a substitute for Profumo and can live without its aquatic notes, this is the best you’ll find on the market. Added at a laughable price (around 24 USD), it’s a safe bet and I’m already thinking about making backups. Recommended blindly.

It’s far from being a Beasmode, but its performance is excellent. I feel a natural scent, nothing synthetic. The price is very good; I compared several websites and bought it on esenzalia for 30 pavos, where I always end up. The objective has been said. Subjectively, I love it: it’s elegant, masculine and pleasant. I would use it for nights out and work meetings to project security. Will I get compliments? I don’t know, with no fragrance have I received any, but it’s that I’m ugly.

This fragrance embodies everything I believe a man should smell like when he is put together and elegant. It’s not overly sweet, yet far from unbearable; it’s like saying, ‘I’m here, come on over, but don’t get too rowdy.’

I met a girl and arranged to go out. For the day, I washed the car and put a fresh pine air freshener in to make a good impression. A friend had gifted me this perfume, which I hadn’t used, so I thought it was the perfect occasion. Upon arriving at her place, I noticed my body scent and the car’s smell were almost identical; anyone without a keen sense of smell would say it was the same fragrance. It was on the same aromatic frequency with over 90% similarity. When she arrived, she said: ‘your car smells so good’. I didn’t know what to say and didn’t want to admit that the scent was coming from me. We had a great time, and in the end, she left thinking the smell was from the car. Now I’m not sure whether to change the air freshener or the girl.

It is an intense yet luminous green scent, with absolutely no darkness in this Noir. The opening is sharp and daytime-appropriate, evoking nothing of the night despite the dark bottle. It is masculine, mature, and versatile for daywear; it certainly makes an impression, perhaps slightly linear, but as it dries down it becomes more masculine with that green patchouli and the chameleon-like note of labdanum across its concentrations (so green it even suggests moss). Performance and projection are adequate for me, and the price matches the quality. Afnan is always a good option. Tried, but not for teenagers or sweet tastes; it is a classic green scent updated for today. Edit: tested side-by-side with Loewe 7 and 7 Anonyme; the opening briefly recalls the 7, while drying down it retains the green facet of the Loewe 7 and the depth of the 7 Anonyme. Although there are no hints of incense here, these are curious associations that play tricks on the mind.

Well, out of the entire Supremacy line by Afnan, this is the worst. I own several bottles and can vouch for Not Only Intense, Supremacy in Oud, and Incense; all three are excellent clones. I’m not sure who this one is a clone of, but it has absolutely no projection and doesn’t last long on my skin; unless I hold my nose very close, I can’t even smell it. It doesn’t hold up on clothes either. I sprayed fourteen times without overdoing it, and when I got home after eight hours, there was no trace left on my clothes or skin. It is true that it’s cheaper than the others, but that doesn’t make it any better. It has a vintage 80s vibe, like Drakkar Noir, mixed with a decent leather note, similar to Yuqawan, but without the same potency. Basically, it’s a cologne, not a splash for after a shower. I think I’ll keep it for home use. I’m not throwing it away because the bottle looks nice. If you can get it at a good price, go for it; otherwise, don’t worry, you’re not missing out.

SUPREMACY NOIR AFNAN: As the name suggests, this scent exudes authority, respect and leadership, making it perfect for the office. It has that herbal, mentholated feel, reminiscent of eucalyptus, a freshness that transports you to walking through a forest on a crisp day, transitioning from green to earthy and woody notes. It is elegant, sophisticated and serious, denoting power. It is not for the young, but rather for men aged between 30 and 40 in positions of command. Ideally suited with a suit due to its clean, fresh character. Unlike others, I do not find it sexy or sensual for dates; it is too sombre. Its ideal use is strictly professional; it would be the fragrance of Dr Hannibal Lecter in the series. Not for summer or winter, but for daily office wear. It possesses adult style and elegance. Scent: 8.0. Projection: moderate, around three hours. Longevity: eight hours. Recommended.
