An absolute wave of 90s nostalgia. It smells like those guys from the future of the 2000s, like DKNY Men or Good Life by Davidoff, all with a distinct but equally ‘cool’ vibe. I see it as more unisex, or even more masculine than feminine, breaking those gender clichés which can sometimes be absurd. It starts with a citrus note that doesn’t quite convince me; I suspect it’s bergamot, but with green notes not listed on the pyramid that set the tone. Then comes a very delicate jasmine and the fig, which to me sounds more like fig leaf than fruit. It doesn’t bring back memories of my south, which is maritime, coastal, beach, salt, bergamot in spring, incense from the processions, and black Mission figs on the way to the sea, nothing of those bucolic landscapes. It’s another from that era that has gone with the times… It’s not bad, but it doesn’t leave me indifferent. Medium trail and lasts about six hours.
I remember it as lying under a fig tree sleeping during a siesta in August. I used it for a while and loved how long it lasted and that particular scent. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere since.
It’s a marvel of Mediterranean fig and fig leaf, light yet with trail and longevity. It’s pure magic from the south and east of Spain, from Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy… the essence of the Mediterranean, the sea of culture and civilisation.
