I’ve kept this in my collection for years, but only now, with a more mature sense of smell, do I truly appreciate it. At first, it’s loud and direct, but it softens into something velvety thanks to the roses and jasmine. It’s romantic and milky, like sweet cream tea without being cloying; you can detect the amber, but it’s gentle. Perfect for a winter stroll. In the dry-down, it becomes powdery from the musk, very vintage in the style of CK Obsession, though not quite as refined as Chanel No. 5, yet of the same family.
