The king of boudoir perfumes. Its first touch is velvet: warm, soft, woody, enveloping, intimate and adorable. It was the inspiration for my wedding perfume. Although others suggest ‘Heart of the Desert’ by Andy Tauer, do you really want to overwhelm your guests? I agree with Kayali: it is subtle, pleasant to everyone and has longevity and sillage that make you feel your embrace. It is a way of greeting. As a fun fact, I am always given compliments because it dresses up, it does not carry.
The undisputed king of boudoir perfumes. Velvet is the first thing that comes to mind: velvet, warm, soft, woody, enveloping, intimate and adorable. In fact, it was the inspiration for my wedding perfume. I’ve seen people say they would use Heart of the Desert by Andy Tauer for their wedding, but… do you really want to overwhelm your guests (and the bride) with your scent? I am entirely in agreement with Kayali. It is a subtle and pleasant perfume for everyone, with enough longevity and sillage to make everyone feel your embrace (because for me, this perfume is embracing and greeting). As a fun fact, I have always received compliments when wearing it (because this scent dresses up, it doesn’t carry).
I walked into Sephora as usual, not looking for anything specific, but my body led me straight to perfumes. What a surprise to see the new Kayali range! I first tested Silk Santal on a strip: I liked it, feminine and delicate. Then I tried Velvet Santal and it was love at first sight. Once it dried down, it smelled exactly like Mon Guerlain Intense, and I loved it so much I bought it on the spot. But when I got home and applied it to my skin, oh surprise! It changed completely and now smells very similar to Lost Cherry.
