I managed to meet the French designer, Chris Kumi, who gave me a masterclass on the brand, its history, and its fragrances. After nearly two hours of a brilliant conversation, it was time to choose what to take home. It wasn’t easy, but for the climate in Cancún, Mexico, my favourite was Tihany. It’s herbal at the start, sweet, and utterly enchanting. It is undoubtedly a gem I discovered, and after learning everything about the brand, I was fascinated. I believe it’s a different kind of niche fragrance compared to what I’ve smelled as a collector, and I highly recommend trying it. They are from Hungary, Budapest, but based on what he told me, I hope they arrive in Mexico soon. PS: the bottle is inspired by the typical Hungarian drink served in porcelain.
