Ideal for Christmas, when everything is wrapped in white; your senses will notice that softness and sweetness of natural ingredients that keeps its promise: tonka, a realistic almond with vanilla and licorice. I notice the other notes little, but sometimes the mix turns into a delicious amaretto that makes you want to drink it. It’s not strong in projection or longevity, but it gifts you warmth and well-being with its soft notes that accompany you discreetly. If you like things sweet, it deserves a try.

  • A rich yet gentle fragrance, nothing intrusive. Straight out of the bottle, it smells strongly of almond, before the tonka bean becomes more prominent. On me, it doesn’t last very long (perhaps just a couple of hours), which is why it hasn’t fully convinced me. However, if you enjoy soft perfumes or scents, this could be the one. The blend of notes is definitely fabulous, feeling like a very subtle almond essence. Its trail is quite soft, so I’d recommend it for daytime or even for going to work. If I were to find a similar aroma that was more long-lasting and noticeable, it would undoubtedly be a resounding success.

  • Gentle for everyday wear, better on cold days. It has gourmand vanilla but the overall scent isn’t exactly that; perhaps it carries a touch of cinnamon that gives it an oriental feel. The trail and longevity are lacking; it’s for personal enjoyment, to feel wrapped in the warmth of its ingredients on fresh days. Looking for an alternative to L’Erborista’s Mandorla (discontinued), I came across this, but it lasts less and is sweeter and less powdery. In short, I’ll keep searching for the perfect almond scent, hoping it doesn’t happen to me like with the rose: in my search for the perfect rose, I ended up with six different perfumes 🤦
