Tonka Reverie from The Dua Brand arrived in 2026 as a creation by perfumer Mahsam Raza. A spicy oriental designed for both women and men, it puts tonka bean at its heart.
The idea is one of balance: luminous resin and gentle spice against a smoky tobacco core and a soft, cereal-like sweetness.
It opens with elemi, geranium and cinnamon. Elemi offers a bright, green-tinged resin, geranium lends a crisp aromatic lift, and cinnamon provides a mellow, warming spice.
At the centre, incense, tobacco and clary sage take over. The incense is meditative rather than heavy, the tobacco brings a dry, earthy richness, and clary sage adds a herbal freshness that keeps things elegant.
