It’s creamy in a Mediterranean style, but the marine notes ruin the perfume’s beauty; they’re unnecessary. I’d swap them for fig or yuzu. The citrus opening with riper plums is interesting, and the iris combined with wood sets it apart from common perfumes. The word ‘Extreme’ might be superfluous, as it could be a Dior Intense or an Amouage Interlude Man, yet it smells fantastic and is addictive at times, though it doesn’t leave me in a state of ecstasy. You get six solid hours floating like it was just applied, then it shifts to woods and vetiver, giving that fine bath soap touch. Perhaps removing the marine notes would make it drier, more liquor-like, and highlight the leather more.
To the point: it’s a clone of the overrated Creed Irish Tweed, more of the same as Cool Water or Armaf. I own the Creed and dislike it entirely for this kind of imitation; it’s a common scent with a discreet trail and longevity. It has a convenient price point. Scent 4/10, Trail 4/10, Longevity 5/10, Projection 5/10.
A dapper fragrance, sober and elegant Italian style, designed for close-range wear. To my nose, it’s leathery, with subtle aquatic notes, iris, and lavender, plus a strong plum imprint that gives the leather an exquisite fruity tint. It hasn’t gained much fame, but I find it charming; often success and failure are incongruous. I see it as ideal for elegant dinners or mature dates in fresh or mild weather. Performance: a subtle trail and 5-6 hours of longevity. Nighttime, formal, mysterious, mature, and distinguished. A very good perfume. Best regards.
My first review of Trussardi, and it’s Black Extreme. It opens citrusy with a woody touch, giving an air of maturity and an office scent. In my opinion, the projection isn’t satisfying; it lasts an hour despite being generous. Then it fades to skin-level, and the longevity doesn’t exceed four or five hours. Overall, I liked it, but the projection and longevity are nothing special; quite the opposite. I only detect vetiver and patchouli in the base. Ideal for spring and autumn, both day and evening. I wouldn’t recommend it for night due to its poor projection, but if you want to wear it, go ahead. It’s typical office wear, non-intrusive, and garners compliments, especially from women for being ‘typically masculine’. In short, a sober, masculine fragrance for the office and formal or casual winter dates, with moderate projection and longevity.
Terribly tacky; I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s one-note and underwhelming. Reading ‘Black Extreme’ made me imagine something dense, sweet, or dark. It’s none of those things; pure disappointment.
