Lately I’ve been very particular, and this doesn’t suit me. The dusty note brings back memories of other scents I didn’t like. Here, alongside the leather, they don’t stand out as much as in others, but I feel they don’t blend well with the vanilla. This vanilla isn’t cloying or resinous; it’s balsamic, soft, and powdery. The feel (as always) is far from the complexity of a real bean, yet it’s still pleasant. I think the almond helps create that powdery texture, as many do, though it doesn’t smell fruity. Finally, I detect a signature touch from Cecile, like heliotrope or frangipani, blended rather than isolated. It has good longevity, but it’s not for me.
