  I’m a vanilla fan and must confess I adore the scent of this perfume. However, I have an issue with the price-to-quality ratio. I’ve tried other fragrances from April Aromatics that I’ve enjoyed: Iridiscent is a great iris, Nectar of Love a sweet blend of tuberose and rose, or their patchouli. Yet, Vanilicious doesn’t quite convince me. The scent is pleasant: a very natural vanilla with a spicy and woody base, typical of the brand. At first, it feels soft and delicate; the first time I sprayed it, I thought, ‘well, it’s not the best vanilla, but it’s natural and excellent for daily wear’. However, an hour later, it was almost inaudible on my wrist. I also tested it on blotter paper: I sprayed it the night before sleeping, and by the next day, only a faint trace of vanilla remained at the very bottom, almost imperceptible. So, I wouldn’t pay this as a niche fragrance when there are vanillas with better performance for a fraction of the price. It’s a pity, because it could have been one of my favourites if it lasted longer. Scent: 9.5 Longevity: 5 Sillage: 4 Versatility: 7.5 Originality: 8 Value for money: 4 Total: 6
