Its architecture pairs a citrus and pink pepper opening with a heart of vanilla and rum, resting on a mellow foundation of cocoa, balsams and sandalwood.
The opening unites sweet orange, Calabrian bergamot and pink pepper. It is a vivid, gently piquant prelude that lightens what follows and sets up the vanilla beautifully.
In the middle, Bourbon vanilla and vanilla dominate, enriched by rum. Magnolia and Bulgarian rose, Damask rose of Bulgaria, lend a crisp floral thread that keeps the sweetness poised.
The base combines cocoa, tonka bean, Peru balsam, Siam benzoin and sandalwood. Here the ambery, woody and balsamic facets come forward, giving the scent its oriental grounding.
The accords travel from citric to vanillic, with warm spiced, sweet, floral and rose nuances alongside. Cocoa contributes darkness and texture rather than weight.
