Descripción

Versace Vanitas Eau de Toilette is a musky floral woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2012, this composition was created by perfumer Dora Baghriche. In its opening, freesia and rose provide a floral and luminous touch; the heart reveals the elegance of osmanthus and the delicacy of tiare flower; while in the base, tea and cedar offer a warm and enveloping finish.

  • When first applied it was fresh and pleasant, I liked it, but as it settled on the skin, a note was amplified that on my nose results in being heavy and unbearable, it smells like mothballs. Yes, the longevity and fixation are strong for an eau de toilette. It’s not for me.

  • Upon application, it was fresh and pleasant, I liked it a lot, but as it settled, one note intensified and on my nose it’s heavy, almost unbearable, it smells like mothballs. That said, the longevity and sillage are very strong for an eau de toilette. It’s not for me.

  • I find it very feminine, fresh and with excellent longevity on my skin, it lasts hours without needing reapplication. It will be one of my favourites and the important thing is that it’s timeless; you can use it in any season, it’s very rich.

  • Starts super fresh with freesias or white flowers, then the rose comes in and it’s beautiful, delicate, soft and fresh. It’s sweet but in just the right measure, it doesn’t cloy. The freshness comes from the tea. It’s for everyday wear, the office, but elegant.

  • The opening is super fresh, with freesia or white flowers at first, and then the rose comes in, what a beauty! It’s delicate, soft and fresh. The perfume is sweet but in just the right measure, without being cloying. That freshness surely comes from the tea. It’s for daily wear or the office, but with elegance.

  • It’s very feminine, sweet, soft and fresh. Freesias dominate and people always ask what I’m wearing. It’s one of my favourites.

  • I just bought it because it was cheap and although I like it because I adore roses, I’m a bit disappointed. It smells very much like ‘Roses De Chloe’ and ‘Agua Fresca de Rosas Adolfo Dominguez’; those have personality, but Vanitas doesn’t say anything to me. It’s soft, floral, a bit acidic, the rose stands out, I like it but it doesn’t excite me.

  • flor del sur

I’ve had it for two years, I liked it a lot, I noticed a strawberry opening and then the base notes, the tea and the cedar, that was the best part. I would buy it again. It sounds elegant and pretty, nothing overwhelming, very subtle. I recommend it for spring and autumn.

  • Maria del Mar Astorga

I love it, even though it’s an eau de toilette, it has good longevity, very floral and refreshing, totally summery. However, I think it lacks personality; when I smell it, it doesn’t smell like Versace, it could be from a supermarket.

The bottle says exactly what’s inside: a clean scent. The protagonists are tiaré, jasmine and roses; the tea gives it a green touch and the cedar only lasts a while. It suits spring and summer best. I like putting it on after a shower to stay at home feeling clean and subtly perfumed.

  • Starts delicious, super feminine and fresh, but the rose gains strength on the skin and turns green, like freshly cut by the tea. In the end, it smells a bit vintage and dark, like wilted flowers. I wasn’t expecting this from the notes; I tried a decant to compare with Eros (they don’t resemble each other). EDIT: My tastes have evolved, and now I like the green notes, although my previous opinion remains the same. I use it after a shower, refreshing in summer.

  • The opening is a feast: very feminine and fresh, but then the rose takes over and becomes green, like freshly cut, thanks to the tea. In the end, it smells a bit vintage and dark, like wilted flowers. Based on the notes, I didn’t think I’d like it, but I tried a decant to compare with Eros (and they aren’t similar). EDIT: My tastes have evolved; now I love the ‘green’ aspect, although my previous opinion remains the same. I wear it after a shower; it’s refreshing in summer.
