A beautiful creation by Zara in my opinion: sweet wood, incense, and pepper—a different scent. If you like incense, don’t miss it; I bought three before Zara removed it from the catalogue.
WO/002 WOOD STREET ZARA: Smells great and adds to Zara’s successes. The quality is evident from start to finish: a rough wood like an old library, sublime incense with a spicy touch. It only overcomes the strong opening of pepper, which initially offends, but then calms down and everything integrates into something very masculine. It smells like a cabin in the forest with a fireplace lit—sophisticated, gallant, eccentric, and packed with virility. At first, it hits hard and leaves you stunned, but as you keep smelling it, the notes emerge and you reach the place you were looking for. For me, it’s a pure gem of masculinity, almost perfect. For men who no longer use youthful scents, suitable for all year and any occasion. Scent: 9. Projection: Moderate. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.
It’s a total clone of the CDG Black, plus it’s a scent that sticks to you. If you like incense and burnt rubber, don’t think twice—it’s for you.
WO/002 WOOD STREET ZARA: Smells great and adds to Zara’s successes, like Vibrant Leather or Bergamot. Full-on pepper, a well-crafted cedar, a touch of incense, and an almost invisible sweetness. Sometimes it smells like soap due to the vetiver, but the notes unfold crystal clear, just like in luxury perfumes, playing with what you already know about life. Give it a try; you’ll take one of Zara’s best. Absolutely beastly.
At first, the pepper and incense are a bit heavy, but by the end of the day, it’s soft and blends beautifully. It’s a niche scent, not for everyone, but it has a charm for those who know their perfumes. The longevity is beastly—9 hours; I showered and it still lingers. If all of Zara’s fragrances lasted this long, they’d eat the market at those prices.
At first, it smells like a lollipop to my nose. I do not detect incense, nor church-like incense like the ones I have of various types. It smells like an Arabic perfume I smelled at the Dubai airport. For the price, it is outstanding and seems to confuse itself with a much more expensive niche. 100% recommended if you like oriental scents.
A marvel, although my partner could not get close to me for 4 hours (it projects well at 1 metre, plus I over-sprayed and it clings more than the average Zara scent) and a few more hours with the notes close to the skin. Do not buy blindly. I never thought I would say this about Zara, but beware of sprays in enclosed spaces.
For my olfactive tendency, it’s one of the best I’ve tried from Zara in years (Rich Warm Addictive, Gourmand Leather, Sand Desert, Elevated Oud, Magnificent Black, and Tobacco Tango also stand out). A potent but tastefully modulated pepper opening, followed by incense, then drying down to abundant woods (a delight for wood lovers). It’s not a trendy scent; it’s for tasting and enjoying. Many casual customers won’t like it and will head for something sweet or fresh. Whether it’s a hidden gem or a very good niche emulation, it’s a great perfume on its own. It performs according to its quality and I think it’s been the longest-lasting I’ve tried at Zara, lasting over 10 hours, although with medium projection (the house’s Achilles’ heel), but for this aroma, a heavy trail would be invasive. I’ve thought about getting a backup, though with the rotation, I might not even use it in my lifetime, considering its bargain price versus what it offers (even more convenient on sale). Edit and reiterate: be careful with the sprays; yesterday I didn’t measure the projection of this sharp wonder and spent hours walking around like a laser beam. It doesn’t need extra sprays on clothes like many from the house.
In my opinion, it is a vintage fragrance, for a gentleman over 45 or 50 years old. I believe Zara has better creations and presentations. I found it in Lisbon for €6.99 but did not buy it; it did not attract me for any reason. It is of good quality, although I feel Tobacco Tango is better. Thanks.
From the WO collection, it’s my favourite, definitely in my top 3 of Zara. It’s a characterful, elegant, and mature fragrance. As it dries down, the notes evolve: cedar, soft incense, vetiver, and so on. The longevity and projection are very good.

It is not current trend; it is for tasting and personal enjoyment; many casual clients won’t like it and will head for sweet or fresh scents. Whether it is a hidden gem or emulates niche, I don’t know, but for me it is a proper perfume. Performance matches its quality, I believe it is the longest-lasting I have tried: over 10 hours, although with moderate projection (Zara’s Achilles’ heel). A heavy trail would be invasive. I have thought about getting a backup, but due to rotation I won’t wear it in my lifetime, and with the clearance price and sales it is even cheaper. Beware of heavy sprays; yesterday I was throwing laser beams for hours. It does not need sprays on clothes like many from the house.

A good perfume and at $11.50 it is a gem; you can’t ask for more.
The best in the WO line. For incense lovers, it is a great option; the wood blend is unconventional and demands time to appreciate. It reminds me more of palo santo than cedar. The rum base is subtle and sweet, but the leather is not noticeable, lost to the pepper and incense, and I personally like that loss. It is not for animal lovers. Ideal for autumn afternoons in the park. For serious men who don’t sleep with just anyone. 3/5: a great proposal at a good price.
An ultra-powerful opening of pepper and incense, very challenging. I believe this is the first Zara perfume with such an impactful opening; they use good ingredients. It then calms down and becomes pleasant on the skin, sweet and sour, and masculine. It doesn’t quite convince me. It’s the only one in the WO collection on offer, perhaps because it is so bold. I wouldn’t recommend buying blindly, but it may suit men looking for something manly and different. It smells like niche, with typical Zara performance but acceptable for the price. If you want something less challenging, try WO 03.
A challenging perfume that can generate rejection. I like it for stepping away from the conventional. The opening is incredibly potent with incense and pepper, reminiscent of burning palo santo in churches. I struggle to detect rum, vanilla, vetiver, or leather; perhaps they are too subtle against the intensity of pepper, incense, and cedar. It is complex and requires time. Projection and longevity are excellent, be careful with the sprays. It can be layered with Opulent Oud or Oud Mood from Lataffa to soften them and add depth.
The best from Zara in years, living up to its name: dry wood to the maximum. It’s a lovely incense, but the wet leather is invasive. A blend of incense, leather, patchouli moss, and pepper; the wood and vanilla seem like illusions. I’d like it to be creamier with the frankincense incense. It smells dry, like a peeling tin palace, a mix of niche and 80s vibes. It lasts long and is worth it, though it screams ‘at your own risk’. Arid leather, anaesthetic pepper, and a creamy touch. Zara sold it for a short time, beware it doesn’t return.
The best Zara fragrance in years. It lives up to its name: wood, hammer-like, and drier than a cough. It’s a lovely incense scent that would be more bearable if not for that invasive, wet leather note. Basically, it’s a blend of incense, leather, and pepper; here, the leather is unpleasant, with sharp patches of oakmoss. The guaiac wood, so creamy, and the cedar are almost an illusion, as is the vanilla; if they were more present, they would blend well with the soft tone of labdanum incense, but they aren’t. Wood Street 02 smells dry like a palace on a peeling urea chip; it tries to be a modern niche brand proposal but leaves behind treacly masculine scents from the eighties. It lasts long and smells good, so for the price it’s worth it if you assume it’s shouting ‘at your own risk’. Arid leather, anaesthetic pepper, and incense; the only note that hints at creaminess is little more. As usual with Zara, it was on sale last year for three or four months, just in case they want to retain customers, may God forbid.
