🇮🇹🤣 “That’s A…moron”🤣🇮🇹 ➡️ The verdict: dusty iris, a light hint of peach adding sweetness, with a citrus spark in the opening that fades quickly, all sitting on a typical Xerjoff vanilla/amber/sandalwood base. It reminds me of “Shalimar Parfum Initial L’Eau”, although XXY is less feminine due to its reduced floral character. Check the notes and construction of both to see the similarity; while writing this I re-applied them to my skin. 🔎 Those who love Shalimar/Guerlain and perfumes of this type will find something very familiar in XXY, though it is boring and very overpriced for what it offers. It’s not that it’s bad, but rather what follows is. It adds nothing new and I’ve already smelled it before. I prefer the Shalimar version, as XXY in its dry-down becomes powdery/sweet without much development. In my opinion, it’s mediocre for the line it’s sold in, “17/17 Stone Label”, the brand’s most expensive offering. This could easily have come out in “Shooting Stars” at a third of the price, because paying the ridiculous $700 for 100ml is insulting. Good performance. Unisex with a slight feminine lean. Don’t let the bottle’s stone, Lapis Lazuli, fool you with how beautiful it is, nor let the ridiculous slogan from their ambassadors (or employees, or gang, however you choose to call them) with their catchphrase: “That’s Amore” deceive you; for this offering (and many others), they should rename it: “That’s Amor…on” 🙊 I don’t see the quality being greater than Shalimar’s, no matter how hard I try. If I smelled them blind without knowing them, I’d say the one that smells slightly better is… Shalimar. There are beautiful perfumes in Stone Label such as: Pikovaya, Symphonium, Richwood. But XXY… is not one of them.
