I rarely read the notes before imagining a scent, and this one is no exception; it smells exactly as described. It reminds me of Bortnikoff’s Sans Fleurs due to the oud and vanilla, though with more florals and without that boozy base. The oud is remarkably natural, akin to other famous fragrances, or if synthetic, it mimics it brilliantly. The vanilla is potent, while the animalic touch adds depth to the sweet woodiness. The projection isn’t stellar, but it’s decent. Longevity is good, lasting around eight hours on my skin, only surpassed by the true niche monsters. You need personality, charisma, and a touch of ‘gothic’ flair for this fragrance to shine all day or year-round. For more moderate personalities, it’s ideal for autumn and winter, preferably in the evening; it’s not a daytime scent. Recommended for elegant vampires.
